Hi all! I tried to find this question but I couldn't find anything similar so apologies if this problem is already solved :C

My screen wake up randomly showing the lock screen (I have seen this when the mobile is in the desk while I'm working). I have disabled the ambient display, face recognition, and smart lock. In many cases when this ocurres theres no notification or app running. So I'm not sure why this happends..

Thanks a lot for the help :)

I have the same issue here. Ambient display is off, and the screen keeps waking up by itself at completely random intervals from one another, i.e. the problem represents itself after 1 hour, 15 minutes, 6 days...

    any app you installed recently?
sometimes they might cause to use the sensors of the phone to turn on display.
I use always on display app to turn on the screen when some notifications come and when my device is lifted up.

    Hi,

Maybe you have enable the Screen Saver, well try to check and see if the behavior still there

    Go to:
    Settings-> Display -> Screen Saver

I think maybe that is the reason becaus is only show the clock?

After reading other forums it seems to be apps such as Snapchat . And many have said that after they disabled SC notifications the issue stopped . But when I tried it I still got it , so I disabled notifications for all my apps but I still have the issue annoyingly.

It seems that everyone has been getting the issue over the 6 and 5t recently. So it makes sense that it's caused by a software update . So it seems we are all gonna have to live with it until a fix is made .

Same problem. On the lock screen, the display turns on. Dims to off and repeats within seconds.
    I just got the phone.

I think the issue is you are receiving notifications from an app that has notifications turned off.

    ex:
Whenever I receive a snapchat it turns on, regardless if I have notifications turned off. Very annoying hope it will be patched soon.

I've found my application that was responsible for it by checking battery usage: Settings > Battery and see what’s draining the power. For me there was an application eating 34% of battery. I've reinstalled that app and had no more problems.
Screen was not turning on randomly anymore + battery started to last longer :) I hope this helps someone.
