Physical damage isn't covered by warranty, so it all depends on how the screen broke.

    2 questions in mind:
How can a screen break by manufacturing defect?
If it does, will OnePlus accept it's a manufacturing defect?

Well, if a display unit already has flaws, it maybe can break then.
That's why the support should take a look at it and check it.

Oled panels can break by themselves without physical damage. Some issues can pass the quality control and only be noticeable when display is being used for longer. If it's not physical damage or screen burn in then yes, it will be covered under active warranty.
