    Because I knew Updates always Eff up your phone, more so when the Company is launching a newer model soon loool

    I recently updated my 5T from OxygenOS 5.1.8 (I think) to 8.0.10, and the stuttering is back. I had the same problem on earlier Oreo versions (can't remember the version numbers though), but 5.1.8 was very stable and had no stuttering. That's one of the reasons I stayed on that version for so long.
