    Hi everyone,

My One got wet on a very stormy boat ride. I have cleaned it, but unfortunatly it died...

Now it is just lying on my desk, looping pretty, but broken...

Does anybody have any good tips or advice on how to give it a second life? Use it for parts? Or maybe something completely else like using it in or as a piece of art?

    Suggestions are more than welcome!!

    Cheers, Pieter

I'm sorry to say but your best option is probably the last one you said. Salt water is a killer.

Put it in rice, but it's probably dead like Saddam. Salt water is very much like operation enduring freedom.

I think it'll be a bit hard to use for parts seeing as it's hard to know which parts went bad. Can always use it to prank people with.

I'd guess that it's beyond saving, salt water isn't good at all for phones. If it literally just happened then crack it open and clean it up. Don't be too hopeful though, sorry for your misfortune there.

How about using that salt and using phone as paperweight?? :D:D
Maybe if it's not gonna be alive again then just open everything inside it and play with the parts. It's very knowledgeable :D

I had an iPod touch that died and wasn't worth fixing. I took it to school and threw it around and dropped it a ton of times in front of people who didn't know that it was broken and they all thought that I was insane.

You can use it to make soup. Put the OPO in cold water with carrots, a medium onion, diced potatoes, a small clove of garlic and an AAA battery. Add a bit of black pepper, no salt since it's already in. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 1 hour. Serve with fine red wine and enjoy.

no jokes, salt is your biggest enemies.
if you try to turn it on and awake but suddenly dead, then it has hope.
but if you do everything but still the phone remains silent,
then your hope is gone bro,
    i'm sorry.
