what does the second lens on oneplus 6 do rather than portrait???
it doesn't do anything
The inclusion of the 20mp camera can probably be induced to being used for the same purpose as the saem camera spec on the 5T, that being for better low light shots
Doubt it. The main sensor is better for low light. Since its higher MP, perhaps for digital zoom
what does the secondary camera do in the 5/t rather than 1.6x optical zoom and activating in really dark areas (night time) respectively.?
low light for sure!
They said it's not for low light. All reviews are saying the same thing. It apparently assists the main sensor with portrait that is all the info so far.
well it was for low light in the 5 /5t. but hopefully they disabled this ...
That's exactly the same question I have
My very own answer is: There doesn't seems to be a reasonable answer right now - so, marketing? something else? don't have a clue.
After owning the one, 2, 3 and 5 I won't buy the 6.
MKHBD has no clue either

It uses a technology called "Pixel Binning", which merges 4 pixels into one to produce better low-light shots. The higher megapixel count here helps, because essentially we're dividing the no of pixels available by 4. It starts working automatically when the light is under a certain level, around 2 lux or so.
