    Our friend @gns_jonas just made himself a Wooden Cover, for only few bucks. Unfortunately it's not a StyleSwap cover, since it's impossible to add antennas to the self-made back cover. But anyways, this is a really cool project.

    For those who speaks german, he made a tutorial thread here: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/diy-styleswap-holzbackcover-selber-basteln.306107/ .

    I just realized that we could make our own StyleSwap cover if OnePlus could provide us a way to buy the "main body" of the Bamboo styleswap: I mean the plastic body that includes antennas, NFC etc. We could remove the bamboo veneer and apply another one instead, and spray the sides: @Maximus Decimus Meridius

    You mean the plastic cover->body->frame???
    I think you have to be creative on this. There isnt a conventional way to obtain these interesting frames. :)

    I think he isn't really the right person to ask, not even me :') I sent a message to one of my chinese styleswap seller, but he didn't replied yet :/ Even if we could manage to get one, it'd be really difficult to reach the same "quality" as the Bamboo one (precision)

    I got rid of my bamboos. And i think the design of the bamboo-material, the slight bend, few gaps (for camera-module and mic-sensor) is easy to replicate at least the quality that it will look like OEM. The bamboo is quite thin...

    Yeah I think so too.
    A veneer is not that thick and when you bend it when its wet its easy to bring in form...
    The only problem is the plastic cover. I dont want to destroy a bamboo cover just to give the idea a try :/
