Please check the first page what Superplus posted, thanks!
I saw that too, I've reported the issue 12 hours ago. And it says go to bug report and star, so how to do that ?
I think "Star" meant to add a reply to that bug report.
For everyone else who encounters this issues, please make sure to check the second post of this thread before complaining to avoid spamming too much.
are you using the app? on web there is a "star" icon in the top right corner of the page you can click on
otherwise reply indeed as @Prowller said
I've updated my previous post to show how to "star" (the equivalent of "watching" in the regular threads/forums) the bug report:
Spoiler: How to "star" the bug report
Please let me know if you are using the Community app and don't have this option, thanks.
As far I know, there can't be a pocket mode.
On older devices the pocket mode is enabled when front camera is blocked by something.
So on 1+7pro the front camera is inside the case -> no blocking recognition.
Rear camera can't be used, because if you hold the device in hands, it will recognize this as pocket mode.
I like most things that OnePlus did with the 7 Pro, but this pop-up camera is not one of them. Moving parts are just too questionable in term of longevity. Everyday dust, especially pocket lint, will be a major challenge. If this camera pops up inside the pocket when the user is either not expecting or not wanting to, it adds to the trouble.
I really hope that OnePlus addresses this issue as quickly as possible. This will help convince me with future OnePlus phones with pop-up cameras that I will have the full confidence in longevity and timely support.
All things aside, this pop-up camera was the one deal breaker that stopped me from considering an upgrade, since we are not offered the regular 7 here in North America.
Pocket mode was enabled by the proximity sensor, not the camera.
So does 1+7 pro have one?
I can't see an proximity sensor on my 1+5T, maybe in the front camera integrated? But than it would be same problematic, or not?
from the look of the factory test mode tests its an IR sensor under the screen.
Wow, okay, thanks for that info. Didn't know it can be under the screen.
