Need? That’s what I’m asking why and who needs to stretch the screen to the whole width? Are we choosing looks over functionality?
Oh that’s something I’ve missed on my smartphones since like..... forever?
you can count devices with curved screen on your fingers, still no one complained about missing notifications when their device was placed on a table, So whoever came up with this explanation is pretty dumb I believe, we had something similar on the S6 (or 7?) and it was nothing more than a gimmick.

Why does price in Euros of the normal OnePlus 7 increases or stays the same (based on region in Europe) compared to the older OnePlus 6T?
The price in Pounds (UK) and Rupees (India) decreases compared to the 6T.

    price of the base model:
    549€ (OP6T) vs 559€ (OP7) [Germany]
    529£ (6T) vs 499£ [UK]
    37.999₹ (6T) vs 32.999₹ (7) [India]

100% share your frustrations here, I'm also trying to get off my s8 and I was getting so excited for the past week, looking up leaks on the incremental spec bump that is the OP7. Honestly super disappointed in OnePlus for this. I looked to see the India pricing for the OP7. If you convert the currency it's basically the same price that the 6t is right now and it's even cheaper than the 6t is over there in India.

Jack is dead was killed of as a product decision from the 6T. I'd say as that was a big move the adaptor was a curtesy, with the 7 from a product view the jack is dead and no sense adding extra cost packaging a dongle for something that is deemed dead, its understandable. You can buy official adaptor or 3rd party one or try the USBc bullets

Will the OnePlus 7 pro be getting a variable refresh rate in a future software updates? it'll be a shame that I'll need to lower it back to 60hz to get better battery

@Vito L Why do u hav to make the size of op 7 pro so much bigger. 162.6 cmm !! ...
it will be difficult to handle for small sized Asian hands
I dropped the plan to buy it only for this reason..
Hope 2 see a smaller version of this in future

why is oneplus 7 Pro cost $100 more in Canada compared to the U.S. (after conversion)?
Why is there no option to buy Oneplus 7 in Canada?

the actual size of the 7Pro is only a little bigger than the 6T but more screen size.

the 'notch' holds the selfie camera, if you would like no notch you need the pop-up camera, which means you have to buy the 7Pro , and then you can Also have 12gb.

I'm in the same boat. Been looking forward to becoming a loyal OnePlus fan, buying several OP7's because they had almost everything I want in a phone (great hardware and software, bloatware-free, flat screen, fast charge, slider silencer, huge battery) and none of what I am unsure about with the OP 7 Pro (pop up selfie camera and slower face unlock, curved screen, larger size, higher price). I am now not sure whether to buy 6T's and then be disappointed when the 7 actually is released in the US in several months, or go with the higher cost 7 Pro and have to SETTLE with some of the stuff I don't want and pay more for it. Even though the
Pixel 3a is less of a device, I'm now torn. And buying a grey market OP7 from Europe will cost with exchange rate and shipping damn near what a 7 Pro will be here in the US. So bummed. I was ready to head to the store Friday and be extatic about my new phone for the first time in a decade.

glass gets SCRATCHED , so most people use screen protectors to stop that from happening, therefore (hopefully) the screen protector will protect the phone from breakage if dropped , and that means OP can reduce price a little by not installing expensive upgraded gorilla glass.
