Just want to know any Canadians that have received their orders:
    Who delivered it?
Were there Duties or taxes due?
Did the shipping company accept payment on delivery? and if so, did they take credit card?

    Thanks!

    Hey

I just had to pay $64 for duty and taxes. Not terribly happy with that,m even less pleased with the fact that they held my shipment and made me pay online, so I won't likely get the phone today. I'm in Ontario

Just paid mine as well - was $64 and change also. I'm in Ontario as well. Since some of the charge is tax, I would suspect it should vary slightly by province of import.

For mine, I had to pay online at mypayment.dhl.ca with my waybill number before the delivery was released.

How do you get the info for paying the duty online? Do they phone, email, or drop off a slip?

I think once people get there shipping number you can call DHL and pre-pay duty/tax but don't quote me on that. I know I do that when I get a shipment with UPS, and I think a friend did the same with a shipment from China via DHL

Yup - all in cost is about $480 Canadian. Kind makes me cringe a little now that I think about it. Mint Galaxy S5's are going for $450 on KIJIJI..

It's not an extra $130 - it's $64 Canadian (at least in Ontario) to import - duties/taxes/brokerage fees. I'm not saying it doesn't suck, but it's not as bad as you think.

Once you factor in shipping and the exchange rate, it's only ~$50 extra.

Right but some of that is the currency difference between USD and CDN.

    Cost breakdown:

    OnePlus One - $349.00
    Shipping - 27.99
    -
    Total (USD) - 376.99
    Total (CDN) - approx. $402
    Import fees (CDN) - 64
    --
Final Total (CDN) - approx. $465

Now keep in mind, I'm in Ontario, so the import fees can vary by province due to difference in tax rates.

Too late. Can't change anything. No friend in the states lose by. For the extra $64 it's worth it for it to come to my door.
