script, Jul 31, 2018 : cover photo taken by @V1530971389704 from here Hi and Hello, This is our new monthly Shot on OnePlus thread, to hold all your best photos, videos and other media that were taken with your OnePlus phone, as a heir of our greatest Mega photography thread. Last month' thread: Shot on OnePlus July What is a picture? Its a two-dimensional thing, that (often) tries to be three-dimensional. Thats why perspective and depth are so important in photography. Vanishing point is another keyword. The opening picture is a perfect example for a really good picture, it has impressed me right away when it was posted. Also many pics from @maarten_lisboa are good examples. He likes sunsets, with something in the foreground. It makes the pics three-dimensional, and let the viewer dive into the pic. If you place something in the foreground and something in the background when you compose your frame, you are doing things right. Another great post from last month is this: Shooting Time Lapse on Oneplus with Camera FV-5 Look at the second video with the clouds. Its so, so great. As you can see in the tutorial, its not done in a day, it needs some effort, to get a good result, but, its worth it. Have a look! Again @buntycubal and @TibiTibi made some extraordinary great experimental pics, the jacket and the moths. Impressive! This whole thread is full of wonders. Another wonder is the compression app YaImCo from @hennes. Trust me, you won't believe what you see: two identically looking pics in full resolution, but the compressed pic has only a fraction of the size of the original pic. Check this thread, see the post above, solve the riddle and enjoy one of the best apps you can find. (and this is no trumptalk) Also very nice was the non-official onepluscript photowalk, with the theme „lakeviews“. I have not decided what could be the next theme. Maybe vehicles? Or ancient buildings? Maybe churches/ temples? Its fun to watch the pics, its more fun to take part. Feel invited for the next „walk". Last thought for this monthly intro: I would like to host a video project. The thing that has always impressed me most is the globality of OnePlus. We have a moderator from Argentina, many people from China, many many people from India, from America, several european countries, some from Africa, Asia, Australia. (It does exist) The whole world is meeting in this forum. I love this. I will prepare this video project next week and make a post in the photo-section. The main idea is: I give you a theme, you take some short clips, send the clips to me and I edit them to a professional clip. In the end we all make a film together. Good? Stay tuned. Ready to go? Great! Share your best work with us, and let us know which phone was used and camera settings or filters used as it may help our friends on the forum. (ex. OnePlus 5T Stock camera - HDR, OnePlus One - Camera FV5 - iso 100 - 1/6 shutter) If you are a Community app user, please note that the app will automatically resize your photo. If you are a Community website user, please note that file sizes may be to large to post as size is limited to 2mb in which case you'll have to shrink your image size. Photo & Picture Resizer and Snapseed both are great apps from play store to resize photos. Check here to learn more about How to upload photos. Alright, we're good to go. Can't wait to see your best shots! Cheers, script Notice: Please note that single photo threads opened elsewhere on the forum will be merged with this thread.
