    Hallo Shutterbugs

Welcome to the December Shot On OnePlus contest thread. This month is a collaborative effort. It's my great pleasure to work with a wonderful person and greater photographer @script on this thread. We also want to highlight @Crystal Z.'s support throughout the year. And a special thanks for helping to narrow down this month's topic.

    This month's topic:
Capture the season in your area.

There are many nice areas all over the world. This OnePlus community spreads across all continents and some islands around the world. In some places, it is winter where the branches of the trees are covered with snow or the windows are covered with icy crystals. Meanwhile in other areas of the world, it is summer with warmth, plants and flowers are growing, longing for sunlight.
For this month, please capture and share the beauty of the season in your region.

Specifically, let's focus the pictures on the nature scenes that captures the season in your area.

The usual info on the contest part
Lets start with the beginning. The important contest requirements in official wording.

    • The contest rules are the same as last month: everyone can post a maximum of three posts, with a maximum of three pictures per post, that makes nine pictures in total.
    • The photos have to be taken in the recent month. Exception: if they were taken in the last week of the previous month.
    • Official contest requirements:
      • Upload and share your photos in the comment section of the actual monthly contest thread. Including the following information in your post:
        • Device name
        • Editing software used
        • Whether a 3rd-party lens was used
      • Up to 3 photos per entry. 3 entries maximum per person. Select the best of the best.
      • Any content submitted should be your own work and shot on a OnePlus device. Any photos submitted shall be taken in the actual month. Photos should not be published previously anywhere. OnePlus reserves the right to request original photo files before fulfilling prizes if plagiarism is suspected. The photos that can not be verified are disqualified.
      • The prizes for December will again be backpacks or hoodies. Up to 10 prizes are waiting for you.
As you may see, some of the info is stated more than once. Because reasons.

For all photographers who just want to post their normal monthly pictures, without the contest slavery, please use this thread: December 2019 photo thread without contest

So, here we are again, with another month, the last photo thread of 2019. Looking back at the year, I can say, we had many extra great pictures and a very fine collection of knowledge and tips by the various hosts. I want to thank all of you for the insights and time you have spend, to increase the value of the photography community. I call myself lucky to be a part of that.

Also, a big Thank You to @David Y. , to @Crystal Z. , to @Trista W. , and to @dsmonteiro , who also never settle stop to give input and help, and endless efforts to support this special section. And, ofc, my partner in crime, @cdnfarmer, who helped every every every month with preselecting the monthly contest winners. In some months we had over 4.000 pictures to look at and narrow down to a few hundreds, to help shifting backpacks, headphones, t-shirts, hoodies, to the proud winners. And lets not forget the great group of photo friends, @otto2 , @woSch , @hennes , @Bouncer71 , @TibiTibi , who also helped whenever help was needed. What a cool bunch of friends. All of us share the love for good pictures, and, sharing this here in the forum. Thank you all.

We also can call us lucky, that this group is constantly growing. We have a new player on the field, the famous and lovely @B.I.T.S. , who has started a new series of deep insights into photography. I cannot recommend to follow her threads often enough, if anyone wants to learn new aspects, and get entertained at the same way. Here are the links: Reflections , about Theory 1 , about Street , and Recommendations. A pure joy to read.

I want to end this post with something I read today in our newspapers. It has nothing to do with taking pictures. If you are looking for a christmas present, you can sponsor trees in the rainforest and give that as a present to your loved ones. I didn't know that, until I read that article today. In my oldschool printed newspaper, made of paper, which was made of trees. Yes, thats quite some irony.

Lets safe the planet, and have fun in the photography section,

Cardiff on a wintery morning. I took it on my way to work as it was -3°c and thought the sky looked really stunning this morning.

The trees are leafless and the classic telephone box is also in shot.

It was shot on a OnePlus 7T with the OnePlus camera app and I haven't used any editing software for it.
