script, Nov 30, 2018 : cover photo taken by @msudz923 from here Hi and Hello, This is our new monthly Shot on OnePlus thread, to hold all your best photos, videos and other media that were taken with your OnePlus phones. Last month' thread: Shot on OnePlus November Compression app: [APP] YaImCo - Yet another Image Compressor Google Cam ports thread: Google Cam Ports for OnePlus 3/T, 5/T and 6/T What is a photo? A moment of memory. It always shows something that we witnessed, that was a part of our life. We have been there, and it's a moment that we remember. When you walk around, try to get a sense for the moment, for the importance of that special place, that special second, that special people that where with you, and catch it. Then you will have it always with you. In your gallery. And you can share it. A photo is a way to communicate and invite others to your, to our lifes. The photographer, @msudz923 wrote above that pic: Taken after a house fire (we saved the house!), last fire with my Lieutenant What a sentence, what a moment! What a memory. A new contest started yesterday, its fun and includes taking pictures. So it gets mentioned here. Have fun, if you want: Live Report from OnePlus Headquarters - falling stars wanted! Also fun, but a bit more serious, are two new great tutorials, already "revealed" by the famous @Ruby G. Bouncers Focus Stacking with Open Camera (a Recipe) and this one: Photo Editing for Beginners - [A Guide] by never_settle. Super great info, super great tutorials, super great wisdom. Wisdom. The next keyword. We do have some really good photographers in the community, not only they know how to take pictures, they also like to talk about the process, and help us all to get a better, a deeper understanding about photography. I found some very good posts, starting here, and continuing over the next few posts/ pages. If you like to learn something, here is something to read: Shot on OnePlus November This is not the end. Last week we were talking about photo galleries. Very important for a gallery is, that it shows the pictures at full brightness. My own favorite is Piktures, which you can find in the playstore (Piktures with "k"!), another great gallery is this one, suggested by @hennes , who also knows what he is talking about, as he is the developer of the compression app yaimco, which is linked on top. Here you can find it: https://f-droid.org/de/packages/com.simplemobiletools.gallery/ Last for today: as we have so many helpful and great people in the photo community, I had an idea today. I always start this first post with some thoughts about photography. I really would like to know what others think. So, from January on I would like to invite @woSch , @TibiTibi , @maarten_lisboa , @Bouncer71 , @otto2 , @buntycubal , @NeVeR_SeTTLe , @Shivang Joshi and all who think they would like to share some thoughts, to write one of the next 12 monthly opening posts of 2019. Good idea? The task is easy: watch the photo section over a month, note down some interesting posts, and write a post, with your personal opening lines. Of course I will assist. So, first come first serve: please invited friends, contact me via pm and show us your thoughts. Who wants to start in January? Ready to go? Great! Share your best work with us, and let us know which phone was used and camera settings or filters used as it may help our friends on the forum. (ex. OnePlus 5T Stock camera - HDR, OnePlus One - Camera FV5 - iso 100 - 1/6 shutter) If you are a Community app user, please note that the app will automatically resize your photo. If you are a Community website user, please note that file sizes may be to large to post as size is limited to 2mb in which case you'll have to shrink your image size. Photo & Picture Resizer and Snapseed both are great apps from play store to resize photos. Check here to learn more about How to upload photos. Alright, we're good to go. Can't wait to see your best shots! Cheers, script Notice: Please note that single photo threads opened elsewhere on the forum will be merged with this thread.
