'Het Sas van Dirksland' is located between Dirksland and the Haringvliet. This (sea)lock from 1791 served until the 1970's. I was riding on my bike and then it occured to me that a lock as this one could fit in the list of 'historic machines'.

This machine is operated by hand, by turning the wheel. The rod attached to the lock gate moves forwards or backwards to open or close the lock gate.

Last year we were lucky enough to travel for a couple of weeks to Norway. We went to the South coast and found the perfect spot: a white sandy beach. I shot some photographs at this beach, not with the idea that I could use these months later in SOOP, since the photos should never have been shot very long ago. Now that I can go back 12 months in my photo archive, I want to share these photos with you!

I'm not entirely sure what this is, but I did a Google search on something like:"winch cable coast" and I saw some familiar images. I bet this was used to 'pull' the ships in or to keep them in place when they were anchored. Please, enlighten me if you know exactly what this is, and what it was used for.

Due to pandemic, didn't get to go out much in the last 12 months and even now staying mostly indoors. 😔
But I felt, one of my old click of the Colourful Classic Bajaj Chetak using OnePlus 3T can make an entry in this forum. Just to show my interest and participation.
Unfortunately couldn't catch hold of the original resolution. But no edits done to the pic apart from crop.

This was grandfather’s radio. It´s a radio Philco Model B821. I don’t know the year it was made but I’m guessing in the 40’s.
The second photo is from inside the radio. I opened it very, very carefully. :) It shows the radio’s valves and tubes. I found that paper inside the radio. I’m guessing it was put there by the manufacturer to help when the radio needed to be repaired.

All the pictures were shot on OnePlus 7Pro and edited with google photos.

This is my father’s camera Yashica Eletro 35, made by Japanese company Yashica, in the 60’s. He doesn't use it anymore, but he shot lots of family photos when I was growing up. :)

I think Yashica no longer exists, but the community's photo experts will certainly know. But if still were in activity, could it be a future partnership with oneplus?:p:tearsofjoy:

All the photos were shot on OnePlus 7Pro and edited with google photos.

This is a tape recorder Grundig TK 145, made by Grundig in the 60's.
My father used it to record me and my brother in our first years of life. :) He recorded our first words and several interactions between us.
