For CM 13, I don't know. Too much is in flux right now for me to mess with it. The CM 12.1 is not a feature Rom but designed for speed and stability. It adds a few small features over stock Cyanogen like setting a custom DPI and the network traffic meter in the status bar.

Jgcaap also has a modified Xposed. My release takes his ROM and adds catlog, pre-rooted, pre-Xposed, Viper, Adrimans ColorOS Camera, init.d support, an app to set lockscreen wallpaper, and OmniSwitcher, and an adblocker. One flash and its all ready, just add Gapps. Its all in the thread. Current release is Badger.

Xposed can do just about anything as far as customizations.

Gee thanks. I was looking for the network traffic meter specifically. :)
I cannot find 'badger' in the downloads tab :(

I certainly wouldn't use Kingroot unless I had no other option.

Yes, I know. As I said, XDA is having some issues that should be resolved soon. Check posts 115 and 126 for two alternate download sources

OK that will work, just remember that first you will have to unlock your bootloader which wipes all data. (Unless you have a certain version of CM11)

unlocking will save you from possible brick later. also flash TWRP 2.8.6.0 , no any other version. for rooting, install SuperSU. then verify root with root checker from play store.

Just use fastboot oem unlock bootloader and flash a custom recovery. Using a toolkit won't do any good considering it couldn't be simpler using fastboot

So I want to tell that I have successfully unlocked rooted and flashed a new ROM.
And as @elanglois said my PC didn't recognise my opo as the adb drivers were not installed so I installed them manually.
Also I wanted to flash the twrp as @Gonzo01 said but the version seemed to be incompatible so I download the 2.8.7 one and it unlocked the phone without a sweat however rooting was some other thing.Instead of flashing twrp and completing the root process, there was a cycle of rebooting into fastboot. After about half an hour of researching I found that I had to change the build version to any.And now I'm running android 6.0 on my opo without any further problem! Thank you guys for your guidance! :);)
