Ok, so the question is pretty simple: should I trade my OP7 12GB/256GB for a OP7T with 8GB/128GB? Is it a simple question or is it up for discussion?

    Thanks in advance!

I forgot to mention: it's a trade for trade. I'm simply trading my 1Y 7 for a brand new 7T.

It's just this huge RAM that's keeping me with doubts....

8 Gigs of RAM is enough for your needs. You won't miss out on it. The important part is the storage, if you don't keep a lot of photos, videos and apps that'll fill 128 GB of storage, I'll recommend to trade.

You get a tad bit faster processor, 90 Hz display, triple camera with macro ability.

unless you have some cash to spare, then by all means if you wish to hold the latest from OP.

the OP7T is you do read threads, then it riddle with issues. nothing is perfect, and if you can live with those known issues, then again, why not?

if having the latest and spare cash are not in consideration, IMHO 7T not worth an upgrade. many bro mentioned, the 8 could be just round the corner, you can then choose either the a better spec-ced and higher price 8, or an upgraded spec-ced (in your context) and discounted 7T.

just wait a few more weeks or months. there should be a deal sweet enough for you.

if your 7 is failing on you, then forget what I've just said and go for it.

The 7T is a better device, so a 1:1 trade is worth it... The 8GB of ram on the 7T won't be a problem

I never owned a device with 12GB of RAM. However, I never had an issue with 8GB using my devices daily.

actually, far from it. my 7 with 12GB of RAM is a beast in every sense. I really like it. I think I'm keeping it...

He said it's a 1:1 trade. OnePlus 7T is obviously better than OnePlus 7.

Any sane person would recommend the trade given they're happy with storage option provided.

It's not pointless, I'm sure if I'd have a 7T on my hand, I'd get better trade offer for the OnePlus 8 compared to OnePlus 7. That too only if I think of getting a OnePlus 8.

    It's not pointless at all.

The 7T will have a higher residual value so if they wanted to trade it in later for an 8, it'll make the 8 cheaper also.

    It's a no brainer.
