The sim slot 1 on my 7T stopped working a couple of months ago. I visited the service center and the person quoted me a repair cost of ₹21000 without even having a look at the phone, stating that the motherboard needs to be replaced. I went to a nearby local repair shop and got the sim tray replaced. That fixed the issue for me, but now 2 months later, out of nowhere the exact same problem has resurfaced. My sim in slot 1 isn't being read. Would anyone know what could the issue possibly be?

P.S I've tried using both my sims in slot 1 and they both weren't read, whereas whichever sim was in slot 2 was being read fine. So the problem's in the slot itself and not the sim card.

did you tried some other troubleshooting like reset phone, networks, checking settings : *#*#4636#*#*, clean install the latest os available... etc.

Seems more like a hardware problem to me, since as I mentioned whatever sim is put in slot 1 refuses to be read. The sim I put in slot 2 works just fine.
Moreover, replacing the tray fixed the problem for 2 months before it resurfaced, so definitely seems like something is wrong on the hardware side of things

The problem has nothing to do with the software side of things. If I check in settings it says "no sim" for slot 1 which means to the phone, slot 1 is as good as empty. Its failing to read the card. Have attached a screenshot as well.

No it is not, it's only showing me info for the sim that's detected.
As I said, it's most likely a hardware problem, but what I'm confused about is what the hardware problem could possibly be

I would honestly rather not since I'm not sure what should be blurred out and what shouldn't. Secondly, sim 0 and sim 1 show the exact same details. Details for the only sim that's being read. Sim 1 is simply not being read by the phone
