Anybody have Sling TV, if so what do you think about it? With cable prices getting out of hand (I pay $180+ a month), I'm looking for alternatives. Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Sling looks good, but won't be available until Feb 9th. So I'm not sure anyone will know how good it is just yet

I see that it's by invitation only. That sounds familiar huh?

service is getting good reviews. i currently have Dish and hate how expensive it it. They will need to add some extra programming to make it worth it for me. and I get pretty lousy internet speeds where I live. if you lived in town with real high speed internet and had the ability to pull local stations with an OTA antenna, I think this would be a good solution for cord cutting.
I live out in the boonies and get zero channels with an OTA antenna, so I am stuck with dish or direct for now.
I think its a good move towards a la carte programming. but again, whoever controls the internet access will have the ultimate control. that scares me. generally the same companies control the cable and internet anyway, so I figure we're gonna get squeezed one way or the other. if public utilities were allowed to create their own internet providers, it would be terrific, but the big corps are fighting that in court, its just too unfair you know.

Looks interesting. I think I read you can only watch on 1 device at a time for now though? Definitely a step in the right direction.

I'm personally waiting to see if Sony pulls off their Vue service. That would be awesome.

Need an alternative you say? www.solarmovie.is or www.projectfree.tv

Stream for free bud. Doesn't get much cheaper than that!

$20 on top of what I'm paying for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu Plus?

And I still have to watch ads (more than what I do with Hulu?), on chanells that I really don't miss that much from when I had cable.

Interesting idea, but not for me.
