Chris_Punj_6803 , via OnePlus 8T , Dec 9, 2020 : The scrolling speed of 1+8T is very slow. When i open my phone go to home screen where i have all the apps and try to reach the app at the bottom - the phone needs atleast 2-3 swipes on screen to reach at the bottom. My old one plus 6 goes top to bottom in just 1 swipe across the screen. Can someone pls tell me is it me only who is facing this issue or there are more. My phone is 120HZ. How to resolve this, its very problematic.

hlfbloodprince , via OnePlus 8T , Dec 9, 2020 : I think you have selected the 60 hz option kindly select 120 hz
maverick707 , via OnePlus 8T Lunar Silver , Dec 9, 2020 : OP 8T definitely supports 120Hz but it does give you an option to select between 60Hz and 120Hz. Check your setting if 60Hz was selected accidentally
Chris_Punj_6803 , via OnePlus 8T , Dec 9, 2020 : Guys 120HZ is already selected. Pls tell me did onplus 6 had 60hz or 120hz?? That is giving faster scrolling speed. Any other solution pls??

Now a pop up message will come saying that now you have become a developer. Then go to settings and tap on developer options. Turn it on, and scroll down until you find window animation scale, transition animation scale and animator duration scale. Tap three of them and reduce it to 0.5x. Now, in your phone the animations will be fast, and the scrolling will be buttery smooth. Hope it helps😉

ParamK. , Dec 10, 2020 : I too have also at times felt that the scrolling speed on 8t is slow. Did try changing a few settings around but none have worked for me yet.
Chitra_Chhikara , via OnePlus 8T , Dec 10, 2020 : You might have selected 60hz refresh rate instead of 120hz
Chris_Punj_6803 , via OnePlus 8T , Dec 10, 2020 : Thanks all for inputs. Pls note phone is at 120HZ....and NOT on 60HZ.
Chris_Punj_6803 , via OnePlus 8T , Dec 10, 2020 : I have also tried all setting including animation scale reduction...but still the home screen doesnt go from top to bottom and vice versa in one swipe across the screen. Similarly i have started feeling the slowness on apps scrolling as well. This is a real issue, i wish i could record a video difference between my oneplus 6 and 8t and you can see oneplus 6 does it way way better scrolling compared to 8t. Any other ideas anyone to make it better??
Vishal Wasekar , via OnePlus 8T Lunar Silver , Dec 10, 2020 : It's slow now But new update should fix it
Chris_Punj_6803 , via OnePlus 8T , Dec 10, 2020 : True and thats the whole reason of this post. My 8t is at 120HZ still slower than op6...that is the core problem.
SobinZz , via OnePlus Community App , Dec 12, 2020 : The last method is to use a new launcher. There are many on the internet and there may be one that fits to your desires.
Chris_Punj_6803 , via OnePlus 8T , Dec 12, 2020 : Sorry i may be bad at this...whats a launcher and any specific ones i should search??
Vishal Wasekar , via OnePlus 8T Lunar Silver , Dec 12, 2020 : I am facing problem of slow scrolling in 8t 2 days ago But the next update should should sort this problem
SobinZz , via OnePlus Community App , Dec 12, 2020 : Installing Android Launchers are the way of customizing the home screen and the app app drawer according to your preferences. Stock launchers like the OnePlus Launcher, won't offer too many customizations according to our choices, and that's where third-party launchers comes into play. How it resolves your issue: After installing the launcher, you would be able to customize the 'swipe-up' gesture for the app drawer. And choosing the right launcher depends upon you.
