Hi everyone,
I’m Donna, the product manager of the new OnePlus Explorer Backpack. I'm really excited to introduce you to our new backpack.
As you all know, we take pride in the design of all our products, and designing high quality backpacks is just as important to us as designing phones. Since we spend so much time on the road, our team here at OnePlus has been trying them out and we hope you like them as much as we do!
With this new backpack, we wanted the design to be a little different while still making sure that it does what it’s supposed to do. Below is our original sketch of ‘explorer’, which may be a good illustration.

We know commuting isn’t always easy, which is why the minimalist design of the Explorer Backpack makes your everyday traveling so much simpler. Multiple compartments, such as the nifty secret pocket on the back, help keep valuables like your phone and passport safe while the padded laptop partition also serves as a comfortable buffer for your back.
For rainy days on the way to the office or day trips to the beach, we added a compartment with breathable vents specifically designed for wet items like umbrellas and wet clothes.And since so many of are always on the run, we made sure that the water bottle pocket is deep and easy to reach whether at the gym or out for a day hike outside the city.
Because it’s tear and scuff-resistant and exceptionally strong, we used CORDURA® classic fabric for our
Slate Black design. Its durability makes for a product that will travel with you for years to come. To give you additional options and to keep the design timeless, the backpack is also available in
Morandi Green.
Another important factor we considered was safety. To ramp this up the Explorer Backpack has a single zipper, a fold-over cover and a premium magnetic FIDLOCK™️, so all your things don’t end up as someone else’s things. The smart FIDLOCK™️ also makes life easier since you only need one hand to pull and pop it open.
