SMS not appearing on sequence Jan 25, 2021

I am using default messaging app by OnePlus. Recently I am facing the problem like new messages are appearing on last and old messages appears on first. So, every time I have to scroll till bottom end to see a new message. Also the old messages are shaded in colour and the new messages are not shaded. I would like to have some help to resolve this issue.
