Snapchat with Root [No Xposed]

    Hi,
I recently flashed OOS 4.1.1 yesterday after unlocking bootloader and rooting. Installed all the apps I use, and found out that Snapchat is giving me the dreaded Login Temporarily Failed error upon login.

I remember that this message is shown when you have xposed, I rooted this device for the first time and there is no xposed.

Does anybody have a clue as to what may be causing this?

    Thanks

Rooting the phone causes it uninstall SuperSU and install magisk it has option to hide root for specific apps.

Thanks, figured this after a search on xda.. installing magisk now.

I had rooted with SuperSU, I presume the only installing the magisk app would suffice?

I'm not sure about this but I think that in order to pass safety net you need root by magisk and not supersu.

I have my tablet rooted with supersu and installed magisk manager yesterday, but was not enough to pass safety net.

Yeah.. It fails for me too at SafetyNet, but I was able to login to snapchat by enabling magisk hide.

I think this is a bit much to do but I understand that this has been the most recommended workaround for long until magisk came by.

You won't be able to use it . Had the same issue . Basically supersu changes something In the way Snapchat reads your phone .

Just telling: installing the magisk app solved the problem. It can hide root from selected apps.

You mean you switched to an unrooted OP3T.

For anyone who stumbles on this thread looking for help:

    1. I unrooted and removed SuperSU from the SuperSU app
    2. Flashed phh superSU from here: https://superuser.phh.me/superuser.zip
    3. Flashed the latest magisk zip from here: http://tiny.cc/latestmagisk
    4. Rebooted and installed magisk manager and phh SuperSU apps from Playsore
    5. In magisk app, enabled "magisk hide" - this enables another module in the same app, called Magisk Hide
(Snapchat already logged in at this point for some reason)
    6. In the Magisk hide module, enabled hide for Snapchat
    7. (Optional) In order to pass safetyNet - Disabled USB Debugging and disabled Magisk Hide
    Done!

I've been running the app on rooted phones for a while and this never happened to me, granted, I've not updated this particular app in a while.

I think once you sign out of it, you might get locked out too.

It is also possible that your app version is way too old but I don't think that is the case here, this is probably in place since a year or more.
