Really thought that's why it might have been delayed to bad all that extra resolution to render is going to make a difference in my opinion

Hope Samsung Note 4, which I would purchase if I don't get an invite by the time the Note 4 comes out. Have Note 3 now, but don't need stylus and related apps

yea, hopefully we'll start seeing more phones experiment with it. But it seems like Snapdragon is just such a well known and respected name, that they will always stick with a reliable brand.

The LG G3 will need the SD805 and Adreno 440 to power its insane screen resolution. Else, I'd expect a noticeable drain on performance and battery life. I think that's one of the reasons Samsung didn't go with a 2K display for their S5, because they couldn't implement the 805.

Frankly, I don't see a point in 2K, since I'm already totally comfortable with my 720p display on the GNex, and 1080p looks really great on my friend's Nexus 5. 2K is overkill, IMO; I'd rather have the 805, 1080p, and better battery efficiency. But Android flagships are still in a specs race unfortunately, with only companies like OnePlus and Motorola challenging the status quo.
