So basically 4.0.2 not exactly a success? or is it?

There is something about rooting that gets me... I don't want to root.. But i also want to root... I just don't have much knowledge about rooting..

    Nothing epic, to be honest.
Just use the phone the way u want with as minimal bloat ware as possible.
    That's it.
And always be on stock recovery.

Better to stay away, unless u need to run some apps inevitably that seek it.

Well ya.. That's why I never liked the idea of rooting.. If I go the rooting way.. What's the purpose of buying a phone that has 3gigs doing nothing and an oxygen OS with every update tries to bring in new optimization.. But that could be true to other phones too..!

    May be,
But lot of them seek root mainly to run apps that seek root privileges, like viper4android Android, Root explorer etc.
    Or to run xposed modules.

Ya.. I know.. The root privileges as they say...!! Maybe I am just fine with the stock experience.. But a few fixes from Oneplus won't be bad

Are you sure that you are not on manual mode with extremely less ISO with focus in the other direction and shutter speed too high?

I hate the volume restrictions, it's so annoying not to be able to mute the device when receiving a call or when disconnect my headphones while I'm in a video call. I'm so frustrated with that new actualization because of that

That depends... I don't use WiFi at work and generally in can get away with not using my phone at work. I can usually keep my phone to about 60% to 70% battery by 3pm to 4pm if I keep the screen off most of the day. I plug my phone in when I drive to work - so it gets topped off after i have charged it over night. It usually gets taken off the home charger around 630am to 7am. When I am at home I am on WiFi. So sot for a work day could be up to 6+ hours if the phone stays off and depending on how many times I plug it in when I'm driving somewhere. At home I usually have to charge it two to three times.

Yeah.. Two to three charges here as well.. When am out.. I switch to the battery saver mode... And have my data saver on... That usually lasts me a day and half.. With a good amount of SOT.

These are probably down to apps not yet optimised to nougat, have you seen the number of 1 star reviews Amazon has had recently.

    Not on Nougat they don't.

I unplug about 7 am, use it a fair amount during the day mostly on WiFi and plug it in sometimes as early as 9pm, often around 12 getting around 5 hours SoT which for me is comparable with past phones.

There's a poll on these threads where 60‰ of users say they have no issue with 4.0.2, as forums are somewhere people come to complain I think that says enough for me. BTW most users without problems have clean flashed the ROM or carried out a factory reset after installation maybe that tells you something.

here overall is really good but they need to work on the battery life. 4/5 hours of sot is not that much. on version 4.0 I consistently had 5/6 sot.
