I love the clean look of my OnePlus 5T.
The front is absolutely clean and on the back there is just the OnePlus Loge, the Fingerprint Sensor and the Cameras.

Now I wanted to order the new 7T Pro when its out, but to my surprise I saw an ugly Text AND recycle-logos on the back of the device.

Did they really fix print this ugly stuff on the device?
I hope it is just a sticker and that I can remove it, but in the reviews they all have this trashcans on it.

OnePlus, WHY did you do that? Is it a legal thing? Than why isnt it on my OP 5T?

BTW my OP 3 and the OP 6 both have no ugly stuff written on it...it's just the 7 or do I miss something here?

This really sucks in my opinion..just to be clear.

Apparently there's no 5G version for the 7T Pro, I wouldn't go by that image as it states 5G on it.

    https://www.theverge.com/2019/10/14...-7-7t-pro-4g-future-devices-networks-pete-lau[/QUOTE]

Thanks, yeah, this isn't the best sample. If you click the link you see the real version with this stuff on it.

    Some more fyi:

I think if its removeable on the 7, the 7T and the 7 Pro it will also be removable on the 7T Pro.
I just found no review or unboxing where it has been removed, so I had to ask.

OnePlus might legally have to place the recycling icon on the back cover to comply with certain countries disposal laws and regulations.

Okay, now I think its a region thing.

This EU-Version has the Text and Icons on it:

And this indian Version is clean:

Poor regulations...but I really don't think there are new laws, the older models were all clean. Would be nice to know if OP had no choice this time.

Maybe some owners of the EU-Version or OnePlus itself can clarify that.

    Okay, thanks for the clarification.

Bouncer71: Good for you that you don't mind, I hope I can accomplish to switch to this state of mind, too.

Obviously the EU thinks we are kind of stupid and throw it in the next trashcan if we don't need it anymore.
    Really sad in my opinion.

    One last question:
Is this text and the icons on the surface of the device or is it under the glass? Maybe I can scratch it off or laser it away...

    It's under the glass...
And there's still a lot of countries in the EU that don't have a functional Waste and recycling system...
    That's actually the sad part...

Sure, but if you want to open that topic, don't limit it to the EU and consider that "recycling" doen't work in the most cases, worldwide. Look at the plastic waste, the senslessness of waste separation, the rare elements used for batteries and so on...
Its just too big and too off topic to get into that in this forum.

    Back to topic:
Maybe I will laser something in the glass over it. A cool pattern or so. If I buy the device and do it I will let you know.

Must be legal obligation in Europe. I bought a 6T, it was present but on a sticker easily removable. It seems they have decided to further now. I agree it's not very nice looking, mostly considering the color of the device (I have same kind of logo on a device of another brand but hardly noticeable as it's a black one).

To be able to sell the device in EU it has to have the recycle markings... I agree it's stupid and ugly but law is law...

    Thank you for your reply.
So, do you know the new law that says it has to be unremoveable now?
Just asking because I'm interestet and would like to read it.
