So what's the deal with CM12S?

Google released vanilla Android in Nov. To coincide with Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 release. It contained lots of bugs. Google struggled to fix the bugs and issued 5.0.1. This fixed some things but broke others or didn't fix original problems some Nexus devices still left waiting for Lollipop. 5.0.2. Comes out but we still have issues.
Cyanogen is a heavily customised version of Android so they've been working on all this extra stuff as well as fixes for the underlying issues. The base code is dramatically different in this release so everything has taken much longer than usual and with more issues.
The guys coding CM (and most other ROMs) are doing their best. Anyone whinging is insulting the work and effort of these guys.

He was already rocking a version of CM12S with the new features and theme engine working fully back then.
It has been almost a month now since MWC ended and so far no CM12S ROM has been released by OnePlus.

It is an obvious delay by the "Marketing Company." By their expert marketing, they will drive Oppo's subsidiary into the ground.:)

Cyanogen is busy preparing to shoot a bullet straight through the head of Google... They have very less time to think about opo...:mad::eek::eek::p:p

NEVER SETTLE. NEVER UPDATE. Selling KitKat phones and calling them flagship killers. Profit. Focus on selling ON Two instead and lets ignore those ONO sheeps. Haha.

It's not their decision. CM ota'so are definitely sent out over CM serves. This has already been confirmed. Also if OnePlus doesn't design software until recently, why would they have server capability to send OTAs. Remember oxygen is a rom, not a OTA

The rollout of every update is done on the approval of OP. Ultimately, when the update is ready, CM informs OP, gets O.K. and then distributes the update.

I consulted a couple of developers. They said all outsourced OSs and updates are rolled out only by the approval of the company, with which the team of developers has a contract. Ask Aaahh, he knows the subject much better than I do.
