It's totally disappointing that we still no update from 1+ for 7 pro device since almost 2 months gone, what s the reason behind this? Why 1+did not provide updates on 1+7 pro stable update?

Chinese new year/spring festival... The biggest holliday of all in China. Also the Corona virus... Apperently China is now extending the hollidays due to the virus to the 15th February instead of the 8th.
It seems like Oneplus plans to be back in business the comming week. Atleast according to some posts.

That sounds great! So I don't ever have to worry about Charing over night. If OnePlus really cares for my phone's battery health

This sounds like the AI charging feature Introduced by Asus in 2018 and GIMMICK was the word used to describe it.

So here we have yet another feature adopted and unveiled , its all very Apple in here nowadays.
I can't wait to listen to what YouTubers will say about this, as they won't be charging to full In under 60 mins using specials anymore.

Well , Either the OnePlus user is going to love it or hate it , since I charge overnight anyway it wouldn't likely bother me much.

As long as you can turn on or off it I don't see a problem. Also if you need to top of the last part and connect at 80+ it asks you if you want to charge now. The idea is that it should know the differance between moments when you need to top it off and when you connect long term like during the night.
I can also see stuff like usage in docking stations and using desktop mode and scenarios like work phones being left on the charger during the whole weekend

It still sounds like AI CHARGING that people were calling a gimmick on this forum.
Even Youtubers called it that , I can't wait watch their tune change now its going to be comical.

I see your point. It's a gimmick until you get it yourself [e]1f61c[/e]

I run the beta and have thus feature so guess I could test myself but. Question: how is it handled if you have scheduled shutdown during night so that the phone is off between for example midnight and 06 am. Does it charge full when turned off or is that feature rooted outside of OS level?

30-80 percent is an optimal level for litium batteries. Pending around 100 would not be much better than just normal charging over night.
