I don't know about all of you guys having a problem with 5/5T update to Pie. But I am having a smooth and great experience with it. Especially the battery life. Still getting 8+ hrs SoT on normal use on this more than a year 5T.

I have this issue as I type this message and since my internet is now using 4G it means the battery life will be affected.

question if I was able to get the OB4 for OP6T before it was pulled and now it's rereleased will I get a new notification to update? should I reupdate if I'm not having issues?

Sadly a separate thread about security updates got closed down, so now it will drown in this thread, but just another proof how OnePlus doesn't care enough about security.

Information about CVE-2019-1988 has been released, where a simple PNG file can used to install malware. This has been fixed in the February security updates, but we are still on December patch level. This is simply not good enough OnePlus and I would advise against buying OnePlus phones, until they can deliver security updates faster.

I've made a formal complaint now with OnePlus and we have stopped buying OnePlus phones now in our organization with 70 locations and 5000 users, until OnePlus can figure out delivering security updates at faster pace.

LG, Samsung and Sony has all released January update for their flagship phones, with February updates expected within a week from now. OnePlus used to be recommended and used to release updates fast, but this has sadly changed and that's why they can't be recommended any more.

Thanks for the correction, wasn't aware LG dropped the ball with V40, which is still running Android 8.1 also. But LG has struggled with updates for quite some time, which is why I'm avoiding them.

    So......

You have of course told the 5000 users to stop using their OnePlus phones immediately? Informing them to search for PNG files and to delete them?

    You've stopped using your OnePlus?

My next device will definitely not OP, I should have gone for S8 plus at that time instead of 5T.
5T's camera quality also degrading with every new OTA & rushed P updates is other mess, planned obsolescence I guess.

well....I am astonished by the ambiguous meaning of bi-monthly and could not understand to what one plus is trying to imply with....

is it made ambiguous to hide the productivity and place updates on timely or is interpreted to whims of OnePlus.....

I have considered it as a big expectation in dire times....and concluded that bi-monthly refers to twice a month(being optimistic meaning) and it seems to mean on pessimistic one from OnePlus "to say once in two months"......quite surprised of it though...
