Recovery phone from bricked state is easy but installing Qualcomm 2012 drivers is where everyone struggles. This method should resolve the issue and make the OPO recovering process easy.

This method has worked for me on windows 10 Preview, Windows 8.1 and windows 7.

Download all the necessary tools first.

Download dseo13b.zip unzip it and keep it on desktop.

Download Qualcomm 2012 drivers unzip it and keep it on desktop.

Download colorOS unzip it and keep it on desktop. > https://mega.co.nz/#!BkpwyYSB!rkYSkFI28vFGuhtsIli-vyDdsb4ZZp1-MX1cLLtaiRo

1, Right click and run the tool dseo13b.exe as a Administrator and Enable Test Mode and reboot your computer. On rebooting you should be in Test mode. Check on the right bottom corner.

2, Open device manager connect your phone, keep Holding volumeUP+Power button until you see QHSUSB_BULK listed in device manager and let go.

3, Right click on QHSUSB_BULK and manually install the drivers.

4, Once the drivers are installed properly run the tool Msm8974DownloadTool.exe from the folder colorOS as Administrator. (Hold shift key and right click on Msm8974DownloadTool you should see the Run it as Administrator option).

If the drivers are correctly installed then the device should show up in this tool. Connected phone will show up as a different line in this tool. If you plug the OPO to different USB port this tool will recognize and the line should move.

    6. Click Start if everything looks ok and you should see a green line moving. Let the tool do its thing once the installation finishes the line will turn Green.

7, Disconnect your phone and hold the volumeUP+Power button till the device vibrates. If nothing happens just hold the power button the device should get alive.

This tool only installed bootlooder for me it did not install the colorOS.

Now the device is alive you can flash TWRP and any OPO ROM you want.

If you want to flash a stock ROM like i did then please follow the below threads.

Note - To put the windows in normal mode run the dseo13b.exe tool chose Disable Test mode and reboot.

thanks, this did the trick after bricking while attempting to downgrade from CM12 to CM11...one small note that may help regarding step 2
"2, Open device manager connect your phone, keep Holding volumeUP+Power button until you seeQHSUSB_BULK listed in device manager and let go."

If your phone shows up as 'Unknown device' in Windows Device Manager disconnect the USB cable, hold the power button for about 10 seconds, release, hold power and volume up again (about 10 seconds), and reconnect the USB. Windows should now detect it as QHUSB_BULK.

windows 7 x64 and up should work fine. doubtful xp would work. although the drivers you have listed in the OP should work because there was no driver signature enforcement then

I had the same issue and holding down the power button for any length of time does not bring the phone back. Any ideas?

I think you will be able to go to just the fastboot mode. disconnect the phone from computer and keep holding the Volumeup+Power the phone should go to fastboot.

Once you see fastboot use this link to restore CM11S > https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/rollback-to-cm11s-from-cm12-with-a-single-click.305397/

thanks for the post. i am struggling. i downloaded dseo13b , unzipped, ran as admin ... the program and everything opened, i clicked enable test mode 3 times, restarted 3 times but it never says 'in test mode' in the bottom corner. if it doesn't say it, am i in test mode?
