[SOLUTION]Screen tint turning yellowish while browsing the internet via OnePlus 8T Aquamarine Green

  1. mit96 , via OnePlus 8T Aquamarine Green , Nov 20, 2020 :
    Hi there,

I recently bought the OnePlus 8T and after the recent update I realized that the screen turns to a yellowish tint when using any browser to surf the internet. Using Google Chrome, or even inbuilt web navigation within apps such as Twitter leads to the same. But as soon as the app is closed, the tint becomes normal, and goes yellow again unless the app is closed and then opened again.

Is there anybody else facing the same problem?

Edit: This seems to be a hardware problem rather than a software one. Taking the screen shot shows that it was still white.

To disable dynamic color gamut go to the address bar in chrome and enter “chrome://flags” then search dynamic-color-gamut you should see an option like this:

Change it from default to disable

    Hope it helps!

Hello. I've got the same issue when I select a zone to write and it disappears when I start writing.
I've try to put my device in normal mode (I use dark mode) and I don't have the problem in other apps except chrome. I've tried with Mozilla and it was ok too. So I think it's an issue with chrome for me. Perhaps it will disappear with an update. But it came with the update of the oneplus 8t.
(Sorry for my English I'm french hope you have understood 😊)

    Hey all,

Have you tried disabling #dynamic-color-gamut in chrome?

I was glad I found it since I had this issue.
