Sound [Solved] Ringer volume automatically reducing when picking up Apr 25, 2020

    So my phone rings loud and nice when it is stationary in some place but then after I move the phone or try and pick it up, the volume becomes low. Almost like other phone's "Silence Ring on pick up" features. But I don't find that anywhere on my OP6T. Kindly help as I'm starting to miss important calls now.

    Here are some details about my phone:
    Android Ver: 10
    OxygenOS Ver: OP6T_O2_BETA_35
    Build No: ONEPLUS A6010_41_200401

    They moved the option since the original post was originally posted.

    Go to Settings, Buttons & Gestures, Quick Gestures, Raise to Answer/Switch.

    Nothing is happening .. please help.

    Whenever I am picking up my phone while I am getting the call the moment I raise it the ringer volume minimises.

    I am not getting any option in my oneplus 7T ..
    No Option like 'Raise to Lower Ringtone' or even in the quick gestures menu.


    I believe this problem came after a recent update.

    Brother it's not showing .. I searched everywhere ..

    Please can you just be a bit more specific as I am not having this option at all 'Raise to Lower Volume' in my settings.

    I am using Oneplus 7 / Oxygen OS10.3.6.GM57AA. After a recent update yesterday Android 2020.09, when phone rings at a place in stationary, it rings nice & when we take the phone in our hand the ringer volume reduces. I want to know that it is due to the Phone's update or any changes want to be done in Phone's setting. Pls.

    Select Phone Application
    Click on 3 dots at top right
    Click on settings
    Sounds and Vibration
    There you'll find the option raise to lower ringtone.

    I have got one plus 7 with and had done all the updates and facing the same issue with calling ringtone the volume goes down as the phone gets into motion plz help how to stop it

    I don't know if this was Android or OxygenOS related but after an update in November 2020 my phone started automatically muting (or drastically lowering) the ring volume as my phone moved, which caused me to start missing calls as it appeared to happen when walking or otherwise moving...

    Total failure as this is a phones basic function!!! I can see having a feature like this, but DON'T enable it by default you idiots!!! I saw when it happened too as well as there was a notification the first time it did, which I accidentally dismissed and after spending 10+ minutes searching for the stupid feature to disable it and not finding it I finally gave up, then weeks later after missing several calls I FINALLY stumbled onto this post, which solved it.

    But OMG how stupid is it that you have to go into the call settings from the dial screen, I never would have thought to do that and couldn't find it in the normal settings area.

    Total failure all around.... Still love my OnePlus 7Pro, but this stupid issue did not help

    Many thanks for your help, it's been driving me nuts since the last update.

    I'm using OnePlus 7 Pro. Still a fantastic phone even after nearly 2 years.
