    Hello,

I have been facing strange kind of issue with Vodafone network on OnePlus 5. Most of the apps aren't working on mobile data but as soon as you connect on wifi they work

Is there anyone facing similar problem on vodafone network??

Go to speed test app and check your internet speed.
I'm sure you are using apps like YouTube Instagram Snapchat or downloading videos or googling something and all these requires high amount of internet speed.

The area where you live might have low network connection.

no brother it's normal app like naukri.com and other smaller app. YouTube Instagram and every other social networking app are working well on vodafone network. Infact to run this OnePlus forum i am using wifi because it doesn't load on 4g network

Don't expect OnePlus to ready any of it.

Go to settings > wifi and internet > SIM and network > select sim 1 or sim 2 (which you are using) > access point names > select Vodafone Internet

FINALLY! Someone on the internet who is facing the same issue as me! this has been happening since the past 2 months with me, i spent my entire quarantine being locked out of certain apps in my phone ESPECIALLY VIDEO GAMES (yes i enjoy gaming). a temporary fix i have found is that vpn allows all apps to work. try using that.

my issue has gotten worse today, i cannot use chrome and Instagram too now! i do not know who to approach in this situation, the network provider claims no responsibility and im sure oneplus wont either, we're just left hanging while we pay for services that dont work. hmph.

I am facing the same issue from April 2020. Apps are working with other networks. So should not be OnePlus issue. Need to contact Vodafone customer care.

Same issue here. Spotify isn't working without a VPN and same with some other gaming apps. Got in touch with Vodafone care but nothing yet.

Solved the problem. In the Internet settings, go to 'Access Point Names', then in the Vodafone APN, change the APN and APN Roaming Protocol to IPV4 only. Should work after that.
