Scherpenseel , Nov 30, 2020 : Did you receive and install the last update yet? It improves the fingerprint acceptance a bit. But for me there are no issues (not even before the update). So you could also try resetting your fingerprint or do a full reset.

Matt 80 , Nov 30, 2020 : How often does this occur? If it only happens once every couple of days, then it's nothing to worry about. All android phones must be authenticated by the pattern/pin/password every couple of days when using biometric unlock.
