From what I have noticed is the system plays music and video sounds through the earpiece and considers it as a call even when you are not on call. If you use a headphones while speaker issues is there the audio quality drops to phone call quality Like if you try to increase the volume by pressing button.. You can see that it's increasing the call audio... Not the media audio. Meaning the audio output is still considered as a phone call even when you are not on a call. First, i thought it was happening when I disconnected my earbuds plus. But I happens randomly now. QUICK FIX : reboot solves this for a few hours and its back.

This is my first oneplus phone...I was freaking mad that i switched from iphone. Issues within 4weeks: 1) Suddenly nord rebooted automatically and i lost all my data..it factory reseted automatically. i lost all my business contacts.. 2) After call ends the phone get stuck for around 2mints.. This is really annoying. 3) Sound speaker stopped working as mentioned in this thread, Need to re-start device everytime this happpens. This phone is really wierd....I contacted oneplus support and all they say is to update the software and clear cache in recovery mode... If any one still interested in buying this phone...pls contact me, i would sell my phone for 2000 indian rupees..(bought 4weeks ago, not a single scratch, all it has is software prob. which is responsibled by the freaking company)

NasirGhafoor , Dec 25, 2020 : Oneplus 8T same loud speaker problem the sound comes out of earpiece. Giving this piece of shit back to Oneplus as within 15 days. Unfortunately I have same problem with my Oneplus 6 which I have to Live with.
