How is OnePlus supposed to fix something they didn't make, CyanogenOS?

Man, I think people on this forum are getting more ignorant as the days go by.

CM12.1 isn't vulnerable. They said it wasn't and i just tried it and they're correct. It's a nightly though, which you may not like. You need to know how to flash it aswell.

Granted they can only do so much, however issuing a statement addressing community concern would not be doing so much.

I'm sure they're ALOT more concerned about the launch of the OnePlus 2 than some hardly relevant ROM on the OnePlus One.

Poor reasoning=dickness. You said you didn't want to, just before you did.

That may be, but has nothing to do with what I said. It's silly to continue arguing an indefensible position.

For those who don't know what it is , Google is your friend. From what i understand, the people that discovered the flaw, they have an official app to check if your phone is vulnerable and my One plus apparently is... Would this be Google's responsibility to fix or One Plus to update the OS?

What the Stagefright security issue does is to allow an attacker to take over a phone after tricking its user into clicking a video attachment sent via SMS or MMS

edit: just ran the detector (from zimperium) - Not Vulnerable

on an old shit rom Exodus 22/07/15.

Or any messenger, like Whatsapp, Facebook, Google. Or Internet-Videos. Or Bluetooth-Transfers. Or pretty anything that uses this damn library.

Well they are responsible for Oxygen. Which hasn't been patched. So they need to fix it, and not in a couple more months.

They have patched it once for the touchscreen fix.

What else do they need to patch? It runs fine. And they can't just slap 2.0 on the One and call it a day. Porting takes time.
