The pieces are starting to fit and the rumor mill is gaining speed: a new device from OnePlus looms in the distance, even if the company isn’t ready to share any solid details just yet. Here’s a thread with what we know so far about the alleged OnePlus 10 Series.

    Bump into the design
This week, the tech leaker Steve shared a message with what he claims to be the design of the OnePlus 10 Pro. It’s the images you can see at the start and at the bottom of this thread and they're mostly focused on the back of the device.

You can clearly see the camera bump, housing three camera lenses. Note, however, the leaker himself mentions that these renders “have been made based on real-life pics of an early prototype” and that “will largely match the final device, some details may change until launch”.

    Specstacular
The same source of that leak also notes the “suggested specs” of the device.
    • 6.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 3216
    • The panel will have a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate
    • 8GB to 12GB of RAM
    • 128GB to 256GB of internal storage
    • 5000mAh battery
    Hasselblad’s second foray
We all witness the beginning of the partnership between OnePlus and Hasselblad, but perhaps we’ll see that collaboration achieve higher results with the next flagship.

Pete confirmed that “moving forward” we’ll experience “a great and burdenless user experience at the very fundamental level”, and that the company will “continue to focus on improving color performance together with Hasselblad, the industry-leader in color, as well as with customized sensor and lenses” and to invest “in the research and development of a range of new and improved technologies”.

    Telephoto Redux?
The OnePlus 9 Series arrived with the ability to reach 3.3x optical zoom. There’s a rumor based on a post shared on Weibo that the OnePlus 10 Pro will be capable of 5x optical zoom. Take this with a huge pinch of salt since we don’t know how reliable this source is.

Integrated OS out of the box
The “2022 Flagship” will be the first device from OnePlus to launch with the newly integrated OS, something that was also confirmed by Pete here. These are the pillars of that unified OS:
    • Fast and smooth
    • Reliable
    • Smart and feature-rich
    • Clean and lightweight
    Release date?
The new devices should arrive during the first half of 2022, but the company didn’t mention anything related to that. As context, the OnePlus 9 Series was launched in March. We don’t know if the OnePlus 10 Series will reach the market around that launch window.

But until OnePlus officially announces the successor to the OnePlus 9 Series, please use this thread to share everything that’s related to the new devices, including rumors, speculation, and possible leaks. That will help organize the forums while keeping all the relevant information in a single place.

For now, are you excited about the new devices? What’s your opinion about the alleged design? What are you expecting from the 2022 Flagship?

    Pictures look familiar.
    They remind me of something

And I always have the feeling there's a contradiction here somewhere:
    • Smart and feature-rich
    • Clean and lightweight

Why they are not designing smaller yet amazing camera back. Now a days these phones even all the phones are having bulky and bigger camera back.

Very disappointed with these kinda trend nowadays.

I don't think there is. It's just a balance hard to achieve. Overdo in the smarts / features and it becomes bloated / heavy, overdo in the cleanliness and you end up with an OS that doesn't satisfy your needs.

Well-integrated features can be both clean (as in unobtrusive) and lightweight.

Physics. The more space cameras have, the better they can be. That's (one of the reasons) why laptop cameras are so bad. They need to be thin sensors.

Not at all - and for the record, I also don't have anything against the waitress. Sounds like a lovely person. :p

I'm against benchmarks also, it's just a fugure that doesn't tell me anything. It's kind of comparing the horsepower of a trawler against the horsepower of a hyper car.

The definitive proof we're not the same person (aside from me being better-looking) is the fact that I have far more steps on Pikmin Bloom than @Cheetosdust.

That's what everyone knows ,, but the desinger and the company have some R&D options too ! Why they aren't trying something else even with another branch of devices they can try that out !

Compact sensors are higher in price - it cannot be an option for mobile device unless and untill they worry about mobile pricing.

But they should go for Compact sensors + Better camera software experience to enhance digital accuracy in photos or videos.

It's not reply to you - this may help guys in OnePlus to think some.

(Google Pixel camera/ or take some examples of Canon compact lens cameras.)

    ✨✨✨
