OxygenOS Status Bar Dark Mode: Is this happening for everyone? Jun 9, 2018

    Look at the status bar in the home screen.. it had white clock and white icons but it's now dark.

    Yes, all icons are white here (5.1.5)

    What version are you using? 5.1.5 or 5.1.6?

    Updated to 5.1.6 and it's happening to me as well but only on the wallpaper in the screenshot posted by OP. If I change to other wallpapers it turns white. Not sure why......

    I would say it's a bug. I had this happen to me previously on 5.1.5 and I did a factory reset and it turned back to white. It happened again after this update.

    feature, light wallpapers have dark icons, dark wallpapers have white icons.
    before they used a top shadow but it looked ugly on white walls (imo)

    It's probably a feature like the Pixel where it changes the icons from dark to white depending on the wallpaper, I don't have the latest update yet so I'm not able to test this.

    Then it's probably a bug, I'm guessing an update to the OnePlus launcher should fix it but for now it's just a matter of waiting.

    Interestingly this happened only after the 5.1.6 update. So I don't know where the bug is... OS or launcher. But these kind of issues are usually attached with launcher problems.

    I found a way to fix this. All you gotta do is clear the data for the OnePlus launcher app and when you go to home screen it'll ask permission to access media, photos etc. Denying the permission somehow fixes this issue and accepting it makes it go dark. I'll attach the screenshots for proof.

    Hi, the same thing a happened to my 5T with the same wallpaper a couple of weeks ago.
    Just tried it again.
    What version launcher are you using 2.3.3 or 2.4.0? I'm using 2.4.0.

    looks like just for that wallpaper. other light wallpaper icons stay white.

    The dark icons are popping up for just one wallpaper specifically. So it's not adapting to anything I guess.

    Workaround is working fine.. but denying access to media/photos will disable the user to choose a wallpaper from his gallery (other than default wallpapers). Right?
