Status Bar issue in Android Pie

    Hey guys,

This is 1st issue I saw after the Pie update. When I drag the status bar in landscape mode, the notification icons weren't populated. But if you do it from the homescreen in portrait mode, it works fine as usual.

I tried various apps and it's just the same. I'm able to see notifications 'but not the notification icons' in landscape mode. Is this part of the new update or a bug? Whatever it is, it's annoying tho.

It's not the notifications related to any particular app. Those images are just examples to show you guys. It's the status bar. Those Wi-Fi, mobile data, auto rotate icons and stuff sitting at the top.

When u drag the bar from a 'landscape' app, you don't get the notifications icons, whereas in portrait app, u get those icons.

Try dragging the notification tray from a landscape app and let me know if see those icons.

Find the attached images for reference.

Are you asking about why you have a notification in PUBG but not on YouTube?

Please see the thread. It's not related to any app. That's why I attached YouTube snap too. Nothing to do with Gaming mode

usually when I update to a brand new Android version, in would wipe the device, because weird bugs and glitches like that can happen from a dirty upgrade.

    Hey guys,

Did we manage to get to the bottom of this issue? I'm having the exact same problem as OP.

My status bar shows up in portrait mode, but not in landscape mode.

    Screenshot_20190101-093819.jpg

Notice that in portrait mode, I am able to toggle icons like Torchlight, WiFi, Bluetooth etc., but not in landscape mode. This is independent of the app that's open, and also independent of the number of notifications present at the time.

I used to be able to do this, but am unsure when the behavior began changing.

    Would appreciate some help!
