Strange behaviour touchscreen.

    Hi y'all,

    Here's the deal.

    When my OPO is lying on it's back (camera facing down) on the table the bottom of the touchscreen doesn't respond or responds very bad. Can't open the App drawer, apps on the bottom or use the touchkeys. When I hold it in my hand it usually work fine. But when it's a little warmer because of the weather it starts typing by itself, opens apps I didn't touch, bad scrolling etc.

    What I've tried:
    Factory reset on CM11s - didn't work
    Upgrade tot CM12S - didn't work
    Factory reset on CM12S - didn't work

    OPO is now on stock CM12S.

    Did someone else had this problem or got some tips I could try?

    Bad news...

    Seems to me like this is a hardware problem with your phone. I suggest you open a ticket and maybe ask for a new one? I'm pretty sure this is not software related.

    Was it like this from the beginning? Does it still have its warranty?

    Mine does this too, it's a hardware problem.

    Grounding problem, actually.. If my OPO starts acting strangely in other ways too I'll go for a replacement

    Yeah, opened a ticket. Took a video of the problem. Got the "patch" which did not fix the problem and now I'm waiting for a response.

    That sucks.

    I'm going to upload a video and request a new One. Got it since November last year.

    So if there are so much OPO users with the same problem, it's gonna cost them!

    No it doesn't. Well, I didn't test it WITH a charger so it happens WITHOUT a charger.

    I really don't like to read that customer support wants you to put a piece of tape in your Phone. Why the hell should I open my Phone?

    Well it's going to be a big battle between users and Customer Support.

    Well after reading all of this I'm certain I want to purchase a Nubia 9 max by ZTE and just rid myself of the one plus experience one year has gone by and the phone is still buggier than a cheapo from Walmart

    I have same issues, now lasted for 3 weeks. Really annoying when the touch screen either goes haywire or it doesn't respond at all. I'm now in progress with the "customer care" ticket and they asked for video of the problem. Sent it. Now my ticket is being "processed" by specialist and no reply for few days.

    The problem goes away by reseting the phone but sometimes the touch screen is so unresponsive that I have to do manual hard reset.

    The problem gets worse day by day, usually after my phone has been in my pocket more than 30mins.

    I've tried different OSs but nothing happens.

    Only solution what I see is that OnePlus will provide me a new unit...
