    Tex99 , Dec 2, 2019 :
    BUG:
There is always a stuttering/frame skip while scrolling on every Oneplus 7T/7TPRO/7PRO with Android 10, on every app and every time you scroll.
    1) This is the complete video and here the stuttering is so visible, moreover you can see how to reproduce it (watch it on pc at full quality 1080p60 and full screen):

    2) If you watch this slowmotion video you can see how the written "Batteria" (when it appears stutter in red) does a sort of jump because of frame skip (I also added a frame count so you can be sure that the video is original):

    3) I did other test on my 7T with "Profile Rendering HWUI" and as you can see from the screenshots, If you do little scrolls there are serious frames drop (see the spikes):
-Screenshots at the end of the post-

    4) Here you can support the feedback I sent: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/...le-scrolling-oxygen-10-bug-on-all-7t.1171252/

    HOW TO REPRODUCE:
    -90hz (more visible) or 60hz
-Light theme (also with dark but it's easier too see on light)
    -Animation 0.5 or 1 (it's the same)
-Open settings and do little scroll with the finger (don't leave the finger on display)
-Look at the written texts ("Battery" for example): they don't do a fluid transition up or down, they don't flow on the screen, but they "appear-disappear", it seems that they jump some pixels. Infact there is multiple frame skip every time that you scroll.

    TEST:
Tests I did on both 60hz and 90hz and light theme (easier to see than dark mode) on settings app:
1- Oneplus 7T frosted silver OOS 10.0.6/10.0.7: stuttering is PRESENT
2- Oneplus 7T frosted silver OOS 10.0.1: stuttering is PRESENT
3- Oneplus 7T glacier blu OOS 10.0.1: stuttering is PRESENT
4- Oneplus 7T glacier blu OOS 10.0.1: stuttering is PRESENT
5- Oneplus 7T PRO OOS 10: stuttering is PRESENT
6- Oneplus 7 PRO OOS 10.0.2: stuttering is PRESENT
7/8- Oneplus 7 PRO OOS 9 and Oneplus 6T with OOS 9: stuttering is NOT PRESENT

    OTHER REPORTS AND TESTIMONIALS:
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7t/help/lag-scroll-7t-series-android-10-t4012171

    RESULTS:
I'm pretty sure that this bug is due to Oxygen Os on Android 10 (on 7 Pro with Pie is not present) and it is present on all 7T/7TPRO/7PRO.
Clear system cache, factory reset, block 90hz etc.. are all useless solutions (I tried).
OnePlus still didn't fix the issue, in these condictions the 90hz are pretty useless.

    "Profile Rendering HWUI" screenshots:

Open the spoiler to see the old post:
Recently I shared this post on Oneplus forum:

"Hi all, on my op 7t (hd1903) I notice a slight stutter when flick scrolling.
It happens both at 60hz/90hz light/dark theme (atm with OOS 10.0.6).
When I scroll I notice that some lines of words on display don't do a fluid transiction, but they "disappears-appears". You can notice that issue when you do a scroll with finger (and you don't keep the finger on display), or a slow scroll (just touch the display and scroll down) in settings app.
There isn't a delay of the speed of written transiction, but a really bad flow of written text on display, it's not fluid at all, a sort of "glitch".
It happens with settings, Chrome, instagram (harder to see with images) etc.. it s not an app related problem.
I don't know if it is an issue of 10.0.6, because I don't remember if it happened with the previous oos version (I got this phone about 1 week ago).
I did factory reset and a new installation 2 times but no success. I want to understand if the problem is software or hardware, thank you all"

    How to reproduce:
    -90hz or 60hz
-Light theme (also with dark but it's easier too see on light)
    -Animation 0.5 or 1 (it's the same)
-Open settings and do little slow scroll with the finger (don't leave the finger on display)
-Look at the texts written at the same time (center area): they don't do e fluid transiction up or down, they don't flow on the screen, but they "appear-disappear" in a fraction of second, like if they jump some pixels.

LINK (it's better to download for quality and watch it on bigger screen): https://gofile.io/?c=dGaFtF

After I noticed this problem, I decided to go to a shop and I did some tests with the following six devices (eu versions) on both 60hz and 90hz and light theme (easier to see than dark mode) on settings app:

    - Oneplus 7T frosted silver OOS 10.0.6: glitchy transictions of written lines is PRESENT

    - Oneplus 7T frosted silver OOS 10.0.1: glitchy transictions of written lines is PRESENT

    - Oneplus 7T glacier blu OOS 10.0.1: glitchy transictions of written lines is PRESENT

    - Oneplus 7T PRO OOS 10: glitchy transictions of written lines is PRESENT (but harder to see because of a strange acceleration on scrolling)

    - Oneplus 7 PRO OOS 9 and Oneplus 6T with OOS 9: this issue is NOT PRESENT

At this point in my opinion this issue is present on all 7T (and probably 7TPro).
Now, 7TPro and 7 Pro should have the same display, but I tested them with different oos versions (9 on 7Pro and 10 7TPro).
So I think that this is a software issue with Android 10, and I hope in a fast fix for this situation.
It's not possible to have "smooth" as a claim with a stuttering scrolling. Clear system cache, factory reset, block 90hz etc.. are all useless solutions (I tried).
I opened a bug report on feedback section, because 90hz or 60hz are useless in these conditions.
Sorry for english but it was difficult to explain in a written format this issue.

So, what do you think ? Let me know if you did a test or if you see this issue, thanks!

Just an update, after my feedback in the relative section, the staff team asked to me logs and then thay told to me that they have made a note of this issue and developer team is currently working on this. They will keep me updated. Probably it's a standard answer I know, btw I hope that the developer team will find a solution and that this is a software issue (I think so).
If not it means that it is an hardware defect on all 7T (tested three different models) and it could be very serious.
Strange that none of users or reviewers talk about this, It's so noticeable

so they contacted you after you sent them the logs? cus the automated message only asks you for the logs and the video so they texted you after you did this?

Hi, sorry for the delay, it was a busy period (cool profile pic).

After I opened the bug report they contacted me to ask logs. Then I sent them the logs through pm and after that they wrote to me that the developer team was working on it.

I made a video that takes up the issue and shows how to reproduce, even if the camera cannot capture it well (hard to record 60fps), it is drastically more evident live, trust me (I recommend to look at the written text at the center of the screen to notice it, while I scroll down, because they appear some "lines" during text transiction, it's not smooth at all).

LINK (it's better to download for quality and watch it on bigger screen): https://gofile.io/?c=dGaFtF

Hope that you can see the issue, I know it's not so visible on video but I don't have a professional camera, let me know thanks!

thanks for the reply I can barely stream the video and same goes for downloading, why didn't you upload this to your drive? and I don't think I will be able to see the issue as you said it's hard to record on 60fps cus you might not have a 60fps recording device I have tried scrolling in this page too but sadly I don't see the stuttering well NVM if the devs responded then there might be an issue and let's hope it's fixed for you :3

That's strange, no trouble with download if I open with chrome. It's a bit visible in the video, btw you have to go on your settings app and try there to see very clearly the issue.
Yes I hope so, because it's not accetable that this 7t has one of the worst scrolling that I ever seen, 6t is so much better and also 2 xl, no jerky scrolling of the text.
Thank you for all replies :)

Of course the issue is still not fixed with 10.0.7 EU.
I'm trying to chill but this device costs 600 bucks and I never saw this issue on any smartphone, that's a shame and a totally waste of time and money. Tested other two 7T in an other shop and same issues.
It's not possible to ignore it, you always look at the screen.
Oneplus did a terrible job with android 10 or they used a cheap display with some touch/scrolling issue, that's not accettable.

I found other people on xda with the same issue around the world, so it is not region specific.

Of course no reply from staff in pm or in my feedback post (
    https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/lag-scroll-android-10-bug-on-7t-series.1146895/)

In addiction there are over 10 feedback of other oneplus devices with the same issues, that's really a shame, this is the worst experience with a smartphone

UPDATE: I tried another 7Pro with android 10 (not 9 as the last time) and...it has stuttering/frame skip while scrolling.

Also I did two video of the issue with a better camera and quality, now the stuttering is visible:
    1) This is the complete video and here the stuttering is so visible, moreover you can see how to reproduce it (watch it on pc with full quality 1080p60 and full screen):
    2) If you watch this slowmotion video you can see how the written "Batteria" (when it appears stutter in red) does a sort of jump because of frame skip (I also added a frame count so you can be sure that the video is original):

So yes, it is a oxygen os 10 bug and OnePlus has to resolve it as soon as possible.
Moreover, oneplus staff contacted me again three days ago on oneplus forum for asking me other info/log about the issue.

I noticed the issue is much, much worse on 10.0.7. It's one of the many reasons I decided to downgrade to 10.0.6. It is still present on 10.0.6 but it is much less pronounced

I'm either not getting this "bug" at all, or I just can't see it with the naked eye.

I really feel like this is unnecessary. All phone's are going to have some sort of stutter to them because of the refresh rate of it. Regardless of whether it's 60hz or 90hz, the screen is still refreshing at that speed and sometimes you MIGHT notice the odd stutter. I've watched your video multiple times and still can't even see a problem that will genuinely affect the everyday use of the device. If you slow it down fast enough of course you will see the stutter as you're recording closer to the refresh rate, but your eyes don't see in slow motion so that shouldn't be a problem.

Constantly replying to yourself on this thread also won't fix the "problem" any faster. You need to be patient.

Hi, I understand your point of view and I don't want to sound rude.
I believe you don't see the stutter obviously, but yours is a subjective opinion.
If you see the screenshots of the Profile rendering hwui you can well notice that the problem exists, it is nothing invented.
I see it with my naked eyes without problems in every scroll, even others on xda (link op), even my friends (often gamers or accustomed to high hz), but others friends and users not.
For me it is a problem because I do not consider it acceptable that a device that I paid 600 euros has such scrolling at both 90hz and 60hz, and it is the worst ever seen on a smartphone (a samsung, 6t or 2xl pixel with 60hz has a better scrolling because it does not drops frames, don't care of 90hz).
I understand that what matters to me is not important to you, but I am talking about an objective problem that makes a device that focuses on speed lose value, it is rather ridiculous when I have evidence and testimonials in support.
That's it, I don't "sometimes might notice" as you said (you can't know what I see of course), I always notice it, I decribed in details and gave all info to users and of course to oneplus staff.
I didn't waste my time for a stupid issue, I'm not new in android world don't worry but I never had something like this.
