i have 7t pro 8gb 256gb, i am facing heating issues while downloading or updating apps from playstore, after restart also, the upper area of screen is heated and metal rims on the upper side is heated. While playing pubg also it heats up badly it's irritating to touch. Im so worried and confused is my phone faulty? However I don't get any message that temperature too high or anything.

Tbh you shouldn't do that. If the phone is hot, you force it to immediately cool down by pressing it on ac. That extreme temperature change is not good for the internal hardwares.

But I wouldn't be doing that if the phone didn't heat up outta no where.
I can sorta blame it on the extreme temperatures where I live, but I still don't think it's supposed to do that.

Okay. I suggest you visit OnePlus store once for the heating issue. As for me i have 7t too, sometimes it gets heated when i do very heavy gaming. Which is normal. or you could do a factory reset after backing up your data. or clear system cache. sometimes these things work.

Yeah, but gaming isn't the problem here, I rarely play nowadays. I just watch YouTube and listen to music. (And I don't use mobile data).

Yeah, they don't have a store where I live, and it's not like I mind, it's just a little bit annoying that I can't grab it without my fingers burning.
Ill do a little bit of research before I take any action. Thanks for your advice!

No, it was promised, then it was announced as it should be in a next beta build, but in the end they apologized a few days later. In short, we don't have this feature yet.
