Why are people so obsessed with the update,, every 2 months same thing happens, people are angry with OnePlus but wont leave them.
    1. people who are craving for AOD and new features, you should have bought a phone that meets your requirements.

    2. why do you keep asking for update.. your phone is meeting all your daily requirements and updates come whenever it is available. you don't need to spam everyday.

    3. If you are so angry with the manufacturer then you should buy some other phone (but all manufacturers follow the same trend for update like update in 2 months and new phones are their priority) .

    4. It takes time and effort to prepare an update, test it and release

    5. I agree that Oneplus is like any other company after all they are here to make profit but Oneplus services are better than others that's why you are here. if you doubt then go ahead and check Samsung and Xiaomi update frequency and new features in last few updates.

    I partly agree, BUT...
No it doesn't. There would be less questions, if software team learnt was hotfix/quick updates are, cuz now annoying bugs are fixed for 2 months, making users live with those for that time. And, unfortunately, staged rollout is useless.
Quite good, but not better than others... I don't crave for new features or security patches, just fix damn bugs and don't create new ones - that's it. And don't get me wrong, I'm on beta branch.

Hotfix is generally not recommended if your phone's basic features are working fine and it takes time to test.. big IT companies or such companies don't take risk when huge no of users are involved

Then let's get rid of staged rollout and from needless countless questions at the same time, cuz I don't see it working... No matter how you call it, but forcing users experience such bugs isn't welcomed.

If you can't get proper feedback from open beta program, cuz now it's saturated with useless feedback from cupcakes knowing nothing even about logs, just ditch from those and launch qualifying program with maybe 200 people, who will do things right.

I agree.. But none of the company is capable of doing it.. it will require huge investment in IT especially..

No, it won't. Look how closed beta by OnePlus works. They select users, who are capable of testing and giving proper feedback.

They aren't paid for it [e]1f602[/e]Just increase their amount and leave behind worthless, features craving "beta testers", who demand updates just for the sake of updates. Current open beta is a mess!

Beta update is released post development and internal testing..
If you want to release a bug free software you need a solid development team and internal testers

Here is the life cycle.. in every stage you would need professionals

Dude, you don't hear me... I know, how this shit works. It's useless, if the very dead end element receives buggy updates.

Just look at latest launcher 4.6.5 update. What could have gone wrong? Now stable users are same beta testers, but with 2 months cycle, lol [e]1f602[/e]🍿🤭

Here is the problem.. Mine is working fine.. actual problem is with the particular handset or the third-party softwares that you install.. Or the settings that you change

These days OS have become far too complex to be absolutely bug free. Take any OS for example, Windows, Android, iOS, Mac OS, etc. There are about 50 million lines of code in Windows 10 and 12-15 million of lines in Android. The possibility of error in codes always exists.
Also, you need to realise that whether you really need a particular feature, is there something productive you are unable to do due to lack of that feature or is it just a marketing hype for that feature created by another brand? I absolutely agree that basic features of a smartphone such as camera, display, calling, wifi and mobile data, file sharing, bluetooth, sensors etc should work perfectly. One should see the facts objectively instead of comparatively.

This is another issue.. we just keep looking for something wrong in the phone hence we keep getting bugs.
I work in IT development I already what's the procedure and life cycle of a software update that's why tried to educate people here
But not sure why people take it offensively..

If you could clearly tell me the issue I would have reproduce it on my phone but you kept adding LOL
