Edit: For those that were using Android 11 Open Beta 11, please provide your feedback through this survey

    Hey everyone,

Here are the latest open beta builds for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.

Please bear in mind that this is beta software and, as such, may be less stable than stable MP builds. If you are installing this build, we highly recommend you make a full system back-up before proceeding.

    Key updates
    • System
      • Improved the power consumption performance to extend battery life
      • Newly added the screenshot function for AOD
      • Updated Android security patch to 2021.06
    • Phone
      • Improved the audio experience when the phone is connected with the OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Buds
    • OnePlus Share
      • Improved the UI visual effect on the sharing page
    • Network
      • Fixed the occasional failure to connect to Wi-Fi network

Please keep in mind that this is beta software. These builds are not as stable as our official OTAs. By installing this update, you accept the potential risks. As always, please share your feedback through https://forums.oneplus.com/feedback/. For more information on submitting bugs or suggestions please refer to How to report a bug and feel free to share your product suggestions via the Community app. If you don't have the Community app installed on your device, feel free to download it HERE. You can check here for more information on the integrated Feedback tool.
Do try out the new Feedback tool and if you have any questions or need help, please contact bughunters@oneplus.com.

    Please note:
    • If you have already flashed an Open Beta (you are currently running the latest Open Beta), you will receive this new build as an OTA.
    • If you are not running open beta software and would like to, please refer to the flashing instructions and the full ROM on the downloads page here.
    • Once you migrate to the Beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will no longer receive the regular Official Stable OTAs.
    • Moving back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (full wipe of all data and cache).
Make sure to let us know how you feel about the beta builds here in the thread too. We are watching.

    Never Settle.

Hey the phone is older than a year so I'm very happy with improved battery life (definitely noticing it after one night). We'll get Android 12 in due time with a bunch of new features.

Battery life improved considerably with this build. No new features, but i'll take this over new features any day.

haha, no you won't. By that time Oneplus 8 will be 1.5-2 years old and they would be busy hyping Oneplus 10.

Exactly. I'm seeing a 20% increase in battery life, and it was already rather decent on the last Beta. Touching 8.5 hours of SOT now

Dude, nobody wants to just stick with updating system for security patches !
It has been more than a year and the photochrome camera still stays useless !
Might as well start investing some money in software system updates for new features or you're a goner for sure.

Yeah, i ended up with 7.5 hours SOT with AOD on, which was even more than i estimated at first. Previously got around 6 hours with AOD, (7 hours without).

Yes totally It was nothing to start with , But seeing one useless camera present in my Phone which is just lying there doing nothing, triggers me more than a 4 MP sensor which might be of some use at least !
