I have a suggestion for development!

    for example

I'm in settings -> button & gestures and i want to go back just swipe to right and done, like IOS.

    I think is helpful.

    Thanks.

that is the absolute opposite of back...

people read from LEFT to RIGHT, therefore... ----------> this, means forward.

just an example, open play store and swipe at bottom and see what happens!! and do same at top.

with this every other app may have issues.

not if you just reserve the top layer for nav gestures.

think about the home swipe, it overwrites the scroll function of the current page

Why people here are hating swipe-right-from-edge-to-navigate-back so much? it's a great feature that will improve the usability much further. Oneplus speed is the only android phone that can give smooth animation despite layers of abstraction. Xiaomi does that and it's shit, yet everyone uses it. My only guess is it's because of copyright issue, but I'm wondering why Wechat can give that feature inside the app.

except that many, many, maaaany apps, have that gesture set up to open the side menu.

Android & iOS work differently. The gesture you're suggesting is used mostly to make the settings of the apps appear. So what you are asking can't be really done.

yes, it's part of android navigation drawer. But most of mainstream non-google app does not follow this, otherwise they need to have different UI on IOS.

However, if it does, people can still click on the List Icon anyway.

IMO swipe right to navigate back wins in every way compares to back button or other swiping gestures. It must be supported somehow.

most non google? most apps i have do that. non google ones included

actually, swipe a bit on instagram, telegram, whatsapp, VLC... see what happens...

it's a gesture that is used on many apps at many contexts... what is so wrong with a small swipe up on a corner? it's even more comfortable for your hands...

Yeah, well I wont argue too much on this. I dont have many apps that uses Navigation Drawer, and there's always Icon List. For me, swipe from bottom corner is a more complicated steps than clicking back button, and swipe from left is much better than anything else right now.

    anyway,
@OnePlus OxygenOS dev team, please add this feature, just like swipe from bottom corner, but on the edge of left side. Let us worry about navigation drawer.

    @Android dev, ditch Navigation Drawer

This ain't Twitter, you know. Tagging those users ain't gonna do a thing. Also, for the record, left-swiping to open app settings is a Material Design thing set by Google, not a developer's decision to do so. Just a little FYI.
