    yes, it's an option I will try - however, should it not be me who decides if WiFi should be switched on - and not allow apps to do this. Me as user should override any option like this.
    I'm in the hands of an app.
    I'm sure we will see this request more and more as mobile data is becoming a viable and affordable option?

    hey - I had to.take a different train today and it worked - WiFi never kicked in.
    I double checked and found that this train does not have any WiFi.
    So, the solution is to take a train without WiFi. hahahaa
