    How old is that???
Accessories comes with 6 months of warranty...
And condition of cable depends on the usage...

This cable was not damaged by overheating but by misbehaving! Take more care about your stuff!

The damaged of that cable is not for overheating is due to overstressing the cable. There is no way you are getting a refund for not taking care of your own stuff.

I'm using the provided cable from day one. It's been almost 1.5 years and nothing has happened to my cable.
Honestly it's because of your misbehave with the cable. Don't blam OnePlus for this.

Lots of people jumping on the post author for it being his responsibility without evidence that he's mishandled it. I take great care with mine:

I never wind the cable; I never yank it; I always disconnect/connect carefully; I don't throw it in a bag or anything like that.

But mine tore too, a bit further down. Some cables in a batch will always be weak; they slip through QA testing. I just wish OnePlus would acknowledge that.

£18 for a replacement is steep.
