Every Android smartphone in existance must be wiped at least once a year as a form of maintenance. Think of it as "spring cleaning" and the error you're getting is the same as the front door being blocked due to too much stuff.

Also clear the OnePlus App info Cache, see if that helps.

You could also clear both the App info Cache and App info Storage, however this will completely reset the launcher and you would have to personalise your home screen once more. But useful if it jeeps happening.

If the UI is crashing, might be a good idea to reset the phone.

i dont think thats what users are supposed to do. keep resetting the phone . There is some issue and oneplus would be aware of it with so many phones hitting this issue. i used oneplus 5t extensively for 3 years and never faced such issues. This is nothing but lack of spending good testing time.

This is ridiculously inaccurate. If that were the case, every phone over a year old would be a brick.
This might be an *old* Android problem, but shouldn't be one on a modern platform. My 6T hasn't had issues, and I've *never* rebuilt/wiped it since I've gotten it. Mainly because it's SUCH a difficult pain to do.
All the Google Authenticator issues this creates, alone, are a non-starter.

Is this the only option you've got? If so, hard no.

Just to be aware that this is a 7 month old thread. And if someone is having a lot of issues, sometimes a complete factory reset does no harm and can fix many issues at times.
