Yea.... the In-Built Player is not yet polished and struggles to play Dolby Vision and Atmos content right now... The team might improve in the next update...

I want to ask one plus development team, if native media player is capable of playing dolby vision 4k content. As you have clearly mentioned that it is not supported by any third party app

I tried this, downloaded video from dolby website https://developer.dolby.com/tools-media/sample-media/video-streams/dolby-vision-streams/ and played it via USB 3.0 drive, video starts, dolby vision and atmos icons appears and it stops. Also tried many HDR 10 videos player is very laggy and choppy.

i am unable to hear voice of some videos when i play with in-built player which are supported to dv and da. like it was saying "audio format is not supported". when i open same video with kodi it is fine with sound. so this clarifies everyone that in-built player is not correct to play Dolby vision and Dolby Atmos.

After update OS menus are also lagging,OnePlus please test PROPERLY before release any update.i think I should go for Samsung the frame in stead of OnePlus q1.mobile beta testing is ok ,but TV? are you people don't have any good QA engineer.

I see this issue with content coming from cable channels along with prime video..whites are too bright like tube light even after updating software.

Yes it plays smooth in kodi player but picture mode doesn't change to dolby vision, so I think kodi player doesn't supports DV.

I think jack ryan season 1 is available in dolby vision and season 2 in HDR10 only as mentioned on amazon prime app. I want to ask one thing whether Jack ryan season 1 plays in dolby vision on native app?(whether it shows dolby vision notification or picture mode switches to dolby, I tried but it didn't switched to DV, may be my broadband speed is not fast enough.)

  10. Q1571473619021 , via OnePlus Community App , Nov 4, 2019 :
yes I know season 2 is not DV. but my problem is colors they are washed out when playing from Firestick 4k. and I believe tv is not processing HDR signals.

about your question inbuilt app does not show notification when Playing Dolby vision content from inbuilt prime app.

If dolby vision notification doesn't appears and picture mode doesn't switch to DV, then it means even native amazon app DV support is not there, its quite pathetic as oneplus tv has closely worked with amazon, even have dedicated button for prime video.

Hey... right now the TV doesn't support DV for Amazon Prime as it detects even the DV titles as HDR only. Technically OnePlus should support at least in future but no confirmation about it yet.

If its going to play DV titles as plain HDR10, also some members has told Amazon fire TV stick DV is not working fine then there is not much difference left between MI 4X pro and Oneplus TV, premium price paid for One plus TV will be waste . Right now we can just hope it gets improved.

actually worse. On firestick 4k colors look washed out for both Hdr10 as well as DV. also DV has warm tint. lets see Nov update when Netflix arrives.

hope they turn off Motion smoothing for dv mode.

One plus development team needs to work on Dolby Vision, just obtaining Dolby Vision certification is not enough, its implementation should be perfect . Netflix is full on DV titles and in current setting where DV titles plays as HDR10 and colors gets washed out, there would be no benefit of providing Netflix. Therefore I request oneplus development team to work hard on dolby vision, just advertising Dolby Vision to give product a premium tag is not enough.
