System update for OnePlus TV Q1 and Q1 Pro [V1.6.0T1910111117]

    Can you please let us know till when can we expect new OTA.
    Because there are so many open action items and they needed fix ASAP.

    we are ready to wait for new features in upcoming OTAs but would appreciate to send HotFix for issues as soon as it gets flagged.

    I tried star wars 8, i think local dimming is set to high and there is no way to turn it off so its giving flickering effect and to be honest its very annoying. Also I tried Bumblebee(2018) Dolby Vision remux mp4, TV is detecting dolby vision but picture is having greenish/purple tint and is not watchable. Don't know if its TV's issue or video issue. Some videos works, some not, some having messy colours.

    Not just CC TV but many other uses like TV channel viewing for live score updates while watching a soap, Browsing through videos while playing Youtube music video...
    PBP I have not yet come across in the Android TV. You can share some reference if you have.
    Right now 1+ being new to the TV segment, I doubt the resources can be put onto these features that need much work for implementation from what's provided by Google. But let's hope for brighter future. :)

    Majority of these issues have been reported to the 1+ Team and they are working on resolving them and implementing them in the next OTA. Might take a little more time though. May be end of the month.

    Ambient light sensor would enhance the experience for sure. Would you be willing to buy if sold separately as accessory as right now there isn't an sensor inbuilt.

    Maybe PIP is difficult... but a split screen kind of feature can be implemented for solving the multiple application problem. But it may be be possible with multiple inputs.

    Also the idea of a ambient light sensor is a mandatory kind of addition as the vibrant screen which looks is enjoyable during bright daylight becomes eye soaring during the night or in dark rooms.
    Regarding making it available for purchase...if it is properly bundled with the farfield\camera module or with a IR sensor to control set top.boxes with maybe a new \functional remote launched @ affordable prices can make a good feature addition to the accessories.
    Also later the TV will be able to act as a art piece like Samsung frame TV which uses ambient light sensor (adjusting brightness) and motion sensor (for going to power saving mode).

    But all this is after they fix the current issues ... and get the TV stable especially for 4k content playback and smoother user experience.

    Yes... Right now the focus needs to be on the pressing issues...The Accessories would take time IMO.

    It would be coming mostly in the next OTA.

    The team has identified the cause for pink color. The next ota should be coming by month end or so and the issue will be resolved as per the team. As they are testing internally to resolve all the causes, it's taking some time.

    guys this is good to have update, but it should rectify the major issues which we are facing.

    I posted one issue which is sound synchronisation with video when we mute by tatasky remote and unmute it after sometime like 1min ot 5min after advertisements finished, the sound is not sync with the video so we have to change the channel and again go back to the same channel which we were watching to get the synchronised sound with video.
    please see this issue.
