I am not sure if anyone notice this, but for my oneplus 7 pro, there are significant amount of app that don't run in 90hz smoothness. some of them seems caps at 60hz, or even lower cause we can easily tell that it's lagging. The apps I found now include: Chrome, Google Map, Uber, Transit

    You can test it yourself:
open Uber or Google Map, after opened, scroll down the notification bar, and you can tell that the scroll down animation frame rate is capped and whole system is kind of lagging when these app are in the front end.

As for Chrome, I believe there is a performance bug in oneplus 7 pro chrome webview implementation. You can see the frame jittering and lagging when scrolling the web page in chrome, you have to scroll the web page very slowly, and compared to other native app running in 90hz, to notice this frame dropping issue. Need to mention that this webview performance bug affect all the app who are using chrome webview to browse web page inside app.

I choose oneplus 7 pro for its smoothness, but to my disappoinment, this phone lags and frame dropping on daily use app such as chrome, google map, uber. I believe even oneplus 7 have a better user experience for its consistent frame rate in 60hz.

Unfortunately there's nothing OnePlus can do something about this, since for instance Google Maps/Google Earth has 60hz locked. It's hardcoded.

I think there is performance bug in oneplus 7 pro chrome webview implementation. And the situation is that after I opened google map, the app is 90hz smoothness, but whenever I used it for period of time, the app begin to become more and more laggy, same with Uber.
