it's best to start fresh when experiencing issues. I know it's a pain but you're having issues, I would setup as a new device.

Okay, I'll have to do it tomorrow when I'm off work since it took almost 6 hours of work to get everything updated and my backup restored.

I messed up when I initially did the switch, I ended up using the wrong msm tool, my phone was bricked for about 2 hours. I actually called T-Mobile and had them order me a new phone. Then out of nowhere it started working again, so I redid the conversion using the correct msm tool and it worked, except for these issues with the apps. I did get the Play Store working I think by uninstalling it then reinstalling it. And I found an alternative to the TMO visual voicemail. I just have to find an alternative to nameid. Also I think my apps may be working, Footlocker loaded fine at least.

yeah I found that out when I was adjusting how many times my phone rings until it goes to voicemail, but I downloaded a really nice app called instavoice, and it works awesome plus has some cool features. oh and I just checked my NBC app works fine, it seems like the conversion just needed time to settle, that's the only thing I can think of.

I'm gonna hold off on the redoing everything and use it for a day and see how things go. If I start experiencing problems again I'll do what you said. thanks for the help.

I must say that the battery life is so much better after doing this! Before the latest Tmobile update I was getting 9 hours screen on time... Then it went down to 7 hours SOT after 9.0.3 update. I just did my first full day and am at 10:15 of SOT! Wow!

I do miss Google home app on my home screen swipe right. Is there any way to get that back instead of the shelf?

you can try this but you have to have root, I don't know if it will work because as far as I've seen the TMO version is the only one that has it, but I actually changed mine to the OnePlus shelf when I got my 6T, here's the link https://www.teamandroid.com/2018/10/07/install-google-now-feed-oneplus-phones/
again you need to have root and IDK if it will work.

hey just wanted to give you a update. I've been using it now for almost a week and everything is working fine. So it looks like I won't have to reinstall the OTA direct from OP. I guess the conversion just had to settle, because I'm not experiencing any of the problems I initially had the first day I converted it, everything seems to have smoothed out.

I think this is because the app is not yet optimized to recognize dual SIMs. That is simply my opinion.

I sold my last 6T I converted a few weeks ago, but I actually got another one outright from T-Mobile today for free basically with account credits I was issued. I ran the conversion again right out of the box, worked immediately. Following the conversion, I received the OTA update for 9.0.12 so this definitely works! Confirmed, OTA updates received following the conversion out of the box! This is incredible for those with the T-Mobile version looking for the latest updates!

I am also not seeing the new OTA update even after using a VPN to Germany and Canada. I came here to see if anyone else is getting their converted 6T to update OTA.
